If India tries to do anything stupid like conducting a 'surgical strike' inside Pakistan then we should use every nuclear weapon in our disposal on India. No need to show mercy at all. Just watch their media how they are brain washing their own people.There wont be conventional war for long so we have to make sure India doesnt survive to rise up again.

Picking up a recovered map, and somebody discovering it to be annotated in Pushto doesn't require a 'proper investigation'.

Sir I have studied Pushto as language for more than 5 years. I can read,write and understand Pushto and quite many of its dialects but let me apprise U of the fact that no Pakistani Pushtoon who is educated enough to read Pushto, uses Pushto as written means of communication. We Pakistani Pushtoons use Urdu as main means of writing and reading. Pushto as mode of communication as mentioned by U here is only used in Afghanistan or Afghanis. So either U are implying that those guys were Afghanis (as maps were annotated in Pushto) or U might revisit the facts presented to U regarding those attackers being Pakistani (if at all).

In case of a military stand off, the Pakistani Army will have to pull out troops from FATA/ PATA/ Western borders and deploy them along the Radcliffe line. This is the last thing which any Pakistani General wants now as the empty checkposts in the tribal areas will give a lot of breathing space to the TTP, it's affiliates and the Al Qaeda operatives.
In the abscense of the Pakistani troops, they may even retake the areas which were captured earlier by Pakistani army after giving great sacrifices. This may eventually lead to the increase in bomb attacks and militants attacks throughout Pakistan as well.

The same happened after the Mumbai attacks when the Pakistani army pulled troops out of Sawat and Bajaur and deployed them on the Eastern border.

But in my opinion, there is no chance of a stand off because Uncle Sam knows the consequences of Al Qaeda gaining a foothold in FATA and as such, the US must have put some pressure (Behind the scene) on India not to deploy it's forces on the border like it did after the Mumbai attacks...As we know that nothing overt happened after Pathankot attack so I guess that it is safe to assume that nothing (like a stand off, or surgical strikes) is going to happen this time either.

Both countries use proxies against the other. The only difference is that the US ignores India's state sponsorship of terrorism because it is trying very hard to prop it up against growing Chinese influence in the region --- I think Indians have bought into this illusion of "only Pakistan has blood on its hands" theory. Nothing much to read into what information you are getting, a pressure ploy by either side to get US involved. It is like two kids fighting and asking the parent to intervene before actual damage occurs.

China will bear down on Pakistan, it is keen on CPEC and is not stupid not to realise the potential trouble here. India will claim a moral victory as NS will promise to investigate (and his skin will be strung up on the wall of GHQ's Officer's Mess Ante Room just like Kargil; therefore PA gets away scot free of buckling; which it shall under Chinese pressure, earlier it was US) and hence India will shut up, a few men will be killed in a covert op by India and Army will shut up. And it will be back to business as usual.

It is normal stand by procedure. We see it happen whenever the PA sends their minions across. Our airbases and troops are on standby too. Theirs are too. Till troops call it another of the prickly arse case and bugger off.

Just letting off steam till it is business as usual in another 48 hours max.

The good part is that Army commanders have got the AUTHORITY to act
