The courts tell you to go to Pakistan after all this. I also saw a report that an Indian man converted to Islam and his passport was cancelled, meaning he wasn't even an Indian citizen anymore.

As far as marital rape is concerned there is no real way to stop this. It is hard to prove if sex was consensual or forced.

You missed the point. I said that if marital rape is difficult to prove, false charges of marital rape are even more difficult to prove. Not false charges in general. Please look at the context of my reply to that person. Do tell me how many men have been falsely (or even rightly) prosecuted for marital rape.


What statistics do you want me to give, and why? Did I offer any statistics, or try to make a point by employing statistics? BTW, it is better not to provide statistics, than to provide false or misleading ones.

If I have a point to prove through statistics, I will do so. I was only pointing out the misleading way in which you linked corelation and causation (a fallacy they teach you to avoid in any logic or stats course.)

marital rape is at basic marital violence... the wife in south asian context is most reluctant to walk out of the house because she has generally no where else to go.

1. even if she does job, she won't be saving enough to have another house in the capitalist conditions here.

2. her parents will be most reluctant to host her or in most cases in india, be hostile to her.

3. she could stay at a friend's house for a few days and find a new house, if she has income of her own, but how many females in south asia have this.

4. the police, at least in india, force most such females to compromise with her husband, in effect go back to the same violent male.

5. there have been cases in india where the husband and the parents of the wife got the wife admitted to psychiatric facilities just because the wife reacted with angry dignity to the husband's violence and dared to complain at the police station.

all in all, "marital rape" should not be seen isolated case but if actual violence occurs the politcal/social should have been enough changed and enlightened that the female can live separately in comfort... and as ever i say, all such things come only through socialism, a welfare state.

I agree India must improve judicial process, no more 4 wives for muslims. Muslim women deserve enough right to be treated equally.

Under Indian law Denial of sex amounts to cruelty. and is one of the 4 bases to demand a divorce.

Our in-laws are not beasts. Justice is gotten by the community they are staying in or the family itself. Hindu marriages do not depend on alimony considering we do not use and throw our wives and husbands like used tissues the way Muslims do.

Besides 6ft tall or 10ft tall, if the law itself is against you and is being heavily misused. What can he do. A 5ft tall woman can mentally torture a 6ft tall man with the current set of laws. Not to mention threaten his entire family with section 498a

I don't care what the govt. says, i have my own reasons. Fix the current set of laws. Give women equal punishment as men do if they file a false rape case or false dowry case. In which case i am ok. Otherwise it will be more ammunition for women to harass men and their families.
