India not as corrupt as China and Russia: Fitch

there are two levels of corruption . there is low level corruption( local officers taking bribes )and the bigger scams. In the scheme of things , the number of corruption scandals are not that many in India , but some of they are for high values. I can tell you - when I lived in India it was far worse and I was pleasantly surprised how when back then- it was ' oh well, what can we do " attitude to now becoming where the Indian public have been more involved and demand better of their govt.

Free media helps tremendously in being the check and balance. its Indian media that investigates the govt unimpeded- nothing is untouchable .
