India no longer considers Pakistan ‘principal enemy’

Nothing has changed. Let me put it this way. India used to consider Pakistan as principal threat. Now they consider us possible threat. Its convenience of words nothing more. Bottom line is the same.

India's principle threat is China. Our major headache is a two-front war.

The major threat facing Pakistan these days is terrorism.

Pakistan is a possible threat.

The possibility of any war is minimal.

Nothing has changed.

In my opinion, you have yet to see light of the day.

Let me put it this way. India used to consider Pakistan as principal threat.

Yes in the past it does but now it is not the case.

Now they consider us possible threat.

In terms of what? Is India considering pakistan threat in terms of Economy, Military, National Outlook?

Its convenience of words nothing more.

Well one can't rely upon the words to conclude convenience.

Bottom line is the same.

Very Callow conclusion.

A very realistic conclusion. If India does not consider Pakistan a military threat than it is naive on their part. They still consider us threat.

Like you I don't day dream and then caught sleeping when enemy makes a move.

On this very forum some time back I had in some thread stated that what ever is happening between Pakistan and India regarding peace process is because of international situation created by 9/11. After some time it will be business as usual. With the kind of progress peace process has made over the years my conclusion is gaining strength.

Another evidence of that is IPI pipeline. India kept on delaying the talks in hope of finding an alternate route. It was only when nothing else materialised they showed some seriousness.

A very realistic conclusion.

I said it callow, didn't focus on its relevance.

If India does not consider Pakistan a military threat than it is naive on their part. They still consider us threat.

I didn't said that India don't consider Pakistan a military threat, rather I asked you a question, Is India consider Pakistan as threat in terms of a Military or economy or National outlook?

Like you I don't day dream

Personnel attacks, I didn't sounds so rude in order to make your mindset to go on haywire.

and then caught sleeping when enemy makes a move.

I think I don't need to learn from you as how to take action against enemy, rather you should apply the implications of above to yourself.

On this very forum some time back I had in some thread stated that what ever is happening between Pakistan and India regarding peace process is because of international situation created by 9/11.

You no need to blame resultant peace process for that event, morever I don't understand what makes you to interlinked peace process with 9/11 when 9/11 itself didn't took place anywhere in Pakistan and India. Or you really want to state that there were Pakistani participation in 9/11 thereby making Pakistan to go on for peace process with India because Pakistan's participation in 9/11 has attracted anger from international community.

After some time it will be business as usual.

I beg to differ, as Pakistan itself has beginning to realize that there is nothing anything that they can yield rather then degrading itself by following the Business as usual after some time.

With the kind of progress peace process has made over the years my conclusion is gaining strength.

If this is the case then why do you want India to see Pakistan a Military threat when Peace process is progressing?

Another evidence of that is IPI pipeline.

Evidence IPI Pipeline only goes on signify the title of this thread.

India kept on delaying the talks in hope of finding an alternate route.

India is a democratic country and hence everyone's suggestions as well as agreement need to be considered while pursuing such multinational project and hence delays are happening.

It was only when nothing else materialised they showed some seriousness.

IPI is one among the several sources of energy India is discovering right now and hence if nothing else materialized then it doesn't mean that we will left with only IPI because we have a several other sources to be taken into consideration.
