India has kick-started the process to build six nuclear-powered attack submarines which will significantly boost the Navy's overall strike capabilities in the face of China's growing military manoeuvring in the Indo- Pacific region.

"It has kicked off and I will leave it at that. It is a classified project. The process has started," Navy Chief Admiral Sunil Lanba said today.

He said the Navy will play its role in the Indo-Pacific region when the much talked about quadrilateral coalition among India, Australia, Japan and the US takes shape, reflecting the the Navy's readiness to play a much assertive role in the critical sea lanes.

In a major move, officials of the four countries earlier this month had set the ball rolling to pursue their common interests in the strategically important Indo-Pacific region where China has been aggressively expanding its military presence.

"We are all aware of the prevailing security scenario in our maritime domain. The continued presence of both traditional and non-traditional threats in the maritime domain demand constant attention and robust mitigating measures," he told a press conference.

On Chinese presence in the strategically-important Gwadar port in Pakistan, he said it may be a security challenge for India in future.

"It will be a security challenge. We will have to look at it and mitigate," he said.

How many nuclear subs you have again? And how many have you operated since your country became Pakistan, again?

yes and you have built a rifle that the Indian army has rejected. a tank that's too heavy and the Indian army has rejected an aircraft that the Indian air force and navy has rejected and food that the Indian military as a whole is complaining about. we in pakistan cant compete with that

They must learn from you guys immediately on how to conduct a successful Navy.

Dockyard attackers planned to hijack Navy frigate -https://www.dawn.com/news/1131654 (Pakistani source)
KARACHI: While the Navy continues to remain tight-lipped about the attack on its dockyard in West Wharf on Sept 6, having issued a bare-bones statement 48 hours after the incident, further details have been obtained by Dawn that reveal the extent of radicalisation within the Navy.

According to informed sources, the attack was carried out entirely by serving Navy personnel, along with Owais Jakharani, a former Navy cadet who could have been given access inside without too much trouble.

Obviously no one can compete with Pakistan's 'Not built here' MIC. For all the things, its made in China. Soon because of CPEC, all Pakistani will be 'Made in China'.

what classified project? Basically they are looking for countering Chinese in Gwadar as Indian Naval officials are fearing Gwadar is going to be a naval base for China in future.

indians also said that Pakistan would NEVER EVER become a nuclear weapons state with or without Chinese assistance. We all know how that indianism ended up.......:azn:

If on 15th of Aug Republic of India -- which is the India as we know it -- was born, then Pakistan was carved out of British India. Then how the heck you can say

Whatever Pakistan was carved out of was both Pakistan and India and not ruled by either of them. Then, why do we need to compete with it? It was not exactly our country, it was a combined British ruled territory. Go tell this shit to British East India company.

Oh, btw, we broke your country into two well after it became a completely independent. And also ironically, British are begging India these days for a free trade treaty and trying very hard to keep Scotland from leaving UK due to Brexit.

Where does this come from? India was well aware of pakistan's nuclear weapons program since 80s and China's hand in it. Any source to back it you claim that India 'said' the above?

BTW, you have still not answered. Where is Pakistani Nuclear Sub?

The Pakistan nuclear sub or it's designs are in the same place our nuclear weapons program was pre May 1998 when indians vehemently proclaimed that Pakistan would NEVER EVER become a nuclear weapons state with or without Chinese assistance 8-)

The evidence? Ever wondered why Pakistan's eternal enemy who is 7x bigger than us and has abundant access to the world's most advanced weapons systems whilst we are denied this privilege, still remains far too weak, powerless and unable to fight Pakistan in a war? If you don't know then ask the indian military high command :azn:

By the way many high-ranking indian officials/politicians were claiming that it was impossible for Pakistan to EVER become a nuclear weapons state. The indian high commissioner said as such on Channel 4 News (UK) a few days before Pakistan's nuke tests in 1998.

Just to let you know that Pakistan has had H-bomb/Thermonuclear capability since early 2011:

http://isis-online.org/isis-reports...nuclear-weapons-time-for-pakistan-to-rever/12

The above is a clear indication that Pakistan has had the ability for some time to be able to wipe india off the face of the planet. Could THIS be the reason india was too weak, powerless and unable to fight Pakistan in a war after mumbai 2008 and uri 2016?:azn:

We are a developing country, our whole wealth was taken away, we were invaded, our land was plundred and yet we stand tall never lost faith in our religion, never gave up Lord Ram's path of Justice and never will JAI SHREE RAM!!!!!
I can count numerous names like the one you mentioned above....like that BB dhara, ashok, etc
And people who speak about ruling India, AB Kya CHudi phen li Kya? aao Delhi kabhi.... Hindustani tumhara swagat karenge....

India come into existence the same time as Pakistan in 1948. Just because India hijack the name of the subcontinent does not mean that India is a old country. As a matter of fact. Pakistani could have acquired the name “India”, and the present day India = “Castestan”. In any case, no one could have stole from India as its British that created India.
