On a personal note I personally don't care about what is happening with the Bharati muslims because it is the internal matter of Bharat. Even if you do more things like Gujrat or Babri masjid I don't care and I am sick to see the Pakistanis bringing this again and again. The only concern Pakistanis should have should be for IOK because it isn't Indian territory and the people getting killed their aren't Indians. Leaving them what ever you do to Indian mulsims anywhere isn't a concern for me and I hope other Pakistanis also realized this as soon as possible. It is India's internal domestic issue.

State sponsored you talk of, well isn't Rana Sanaullah the Law Minister in Punjab? Isn't his links with the SSP and other terrorist organisations well known? Does he not use these organisations to his own political benefit and to increase his vote base?

There are bad apples on both sides of the border. Killing innocent civilians on the pretext of religious differences whether you're a hindu targeting a muslim in Ayodhya, or a Pakistani muslim targeting Data Darbar is inhuman and despicable.

I don't think we can say we have a 'few brainwashed people' on our side. The thousands killed in the name of religion over the past 3-5 years and beyond is testament to that.

I have lived in Saudi Arabia, Melbourne and now im in Dubai and i had Indian friends every where i lived almost all my life. I personally didnot have any problem with them, infect we get along really good. To All the Pakistanis here who are being snobish and think they are superior to Indians because they think they have a BS reason for it... Plz i request u guys to come down to earth. Shouting out that you are better then some one else always reveals more about you then the person you are degrading and most importantly what you do is what counts not what you say. We have been saying a lot of things but where do we stand today as a country as a society as an individual??. If we were so much better like you guys believe then why does it not translate into practicality?
The argument of we being different to Indians... we tend to generalize, India is a huge country and lots of different cultures. People from the south- their accents and traditions might seem funny to us.... people from punjab we can relate to cause half of Pakistan is Punjabi. In my experience we can find similarities in people from Northern India.
All in all NOBODY from both sides wants to fight any more... ask the flood victims in Pakistan what they want right now. If we cannot be good friends atleast we can try to be good neighbours for our own good.

Culture wise yes, infrastructure wise no, if you compare Karachi with Mumbai, then it would be appropriate to compare Mumbai with Shanghai, isn't it?

But the truth is Mumbai ain't even closer to Shanghai in terms of standards, the same way Karachi stands nowhere to Mumbai in terms of infrastructure, although the standard of living in some places may be worse than some African countries in Mumbai too.

People look similar, and urdu and hindi can be understood.

India and Pak may have gone in wars but still the cultural bond is present.
