If India has this technology, India would be the only country in the world that can intercept ICBM as US with mid course missile defense do not has this capability. Maybe the US can import some from india and steal this technology

On a 2nd thought, I do not believe India is capable of doing it. Can you imagine what would hapepn if India can produce such an advance weapon that even US is not capable of producing after 20+ years of effort? India would make it a 1 week national holiday and this info would be broadcast over the news over and over again. India gained that capability recently to engage with pakistan even though if pakistan has nukes.India does need to match with China both countries security requirements are different.

Now, every one is aware of the fact that India has achieved success in the field of AAD and Now India is developing AD-1 and AD-2 in the lines of AAD which can intercept the ICBM/IRBM with a range of 5000-6000 kms
