Another was "Nishan" JEEP copy of CJ-5 in the 70s... its 4 cylinder petrol engine was produced by a company called "Matchless" .. :

Please, you know damn right those no name companies in Pakistan didnt produce shit.

Mahindra also assembled willy jeeps back when their capabilities were on pare with those no names too.

But after years of R&D and now with deeper pockets, they have produced their own engines.

the irony is that MK2 is nothing but a systems improvement over MK1, yet it has several flaws, very basic in nature. You cant blame IA not to go for MK1 with all the flaws it has, MK2 should do better.

But were these not engines manufactured in Pakistan as a license production of the original engine. Dont think these companies developed an engine of their own..

Matchless produced the engines ... n so did BECO.. Did you read click tht link? now the company is making parts for tractors thnks to bhuttos .... policies...
