Well then in the same breath, isn't India too massive for BD as BD is compared to Myanmar?
I mean India is 10 times the GDP of BD. So why even bother when we can do the same (pulverize) as what you can do to Myanmar with a bigger army and economy as well as geographical advantage of surrounding you on all three sides?
I mean wouldn't the smart thing be to engage in deeper relations with India and the Indian military? Especially when offered an olive branch?
I still don't understand how India has threatened BD's sovereignty though to begin with? Can you touch on this?
With respect to Hasina's friendly overtures with India, based on the above, isn't that a pragmatic move? And doesn't Hasina represent the voice of the country as its elected leader?
And do you think China is doing anything out of the goodness of its heart? Isnt it also trying to compete for influence in India's backyard, while trying to encircle India? So why is India the big bad wolf here?
This logic escapes me.
And doesn't Hasina represent the voice of the country as its elected leader?
You forget that India is seen as the only threat to BD security.
Like I say, If BD is allowed to buy Russian arms then BD will take the US 500 million dollars
That's a whole other issue. You could see a thread go on this section for maybe 10 pages on that subject.
India is 8 times when you count population.
You need to factor that India has 2 powerful countries that it must maintain large forces against and that is Pakistan and China. While some of the forces that it has facing China can be used against BD, none of the ones that it has against Pakistan can be used in any conflict with BD. So you see as long as the BD government sticks to it's plan, then by 2030, BD will finally be able to realistically deter India.
India needs to be mature enough to allow BD to become militarily powerful as it's economy grows. It need not fear any threat from BD if it wants friendly and cordial relations with it.
we already seen what you are like - selling indian and awami league HOG WASH.
Russia already given plenty of loans/credits to buy it weapons. WHY would Bangladesh need indian loan to buy Russian weapon????? indian and awami dalals can not answer this question.
Russia grants Bangladesh $1 billion loan for weapons
http://www.reuters.com/article/us-russia-bangladesh-idUSBRE90E0HM20130115
Fact is, india imposing control over Bangladesh defense purchase using this so called "loan" and these indian and awami dalal class selling this indian HOG WASH.
This is some convoluted logic!
So you want to let us or allow you to build up keeping India in mind as a sole threat according to you, and as a bargain we get cordial relations from you? How is that even a bargain when your military will be aimed directly at us, or for that matter how is this even an attitude that fosters cordial and friendly relations?
Besides, isn't supplying you with a 500 Million dollar credit to purchase arms one way to help bolster your military??
I'm sorry to say that youre logic and stance on this issue is all over the place
Well didn't she or anyone else who comes to power, rise to that rank through the same process of the vote?
So as far as we are concerned, she is the voice of the people, unless they throw her out in the next election.
Besides, I don't see much hue and cry from Bangladeshis currently over her rule. Unless youre BNP.
New Recruit
I live in North side, kindly try and see the consequences. The north side China can take it back anytime
The consequence is you will be a POW and can't check in PDF as a keyboard warrior. I want to make it clear, India is our enemy and you better watch out.I live in North side, kindly try and see the consequences.
why you have to drag your Pakistani fathers everywhere??paks n bangladeshis love mentioning china in every message, dont know why?
Do you have opposition party now? There's the issue of how unbiased/fair the electoral commission of the last election was, to the point that it was considered enough of an issue that the BNP boycotted the last election, leaving the Awami League as the only major party in the parliament, along with a few token opposition groups like the Jatiyo Party.
I'm not BNP in fact I come from a family with a long history with the Awami League, however I consider myself politically neutral when it comes to current day Bangladesh and I can admit when there are issues, and claims of how legitimate the last elections were are dubious at best.
They can't live without hate and sour grape.why you have to drag your Pakistani fathers everywhere??

It doesn't make sense to make friends with people with malign intention and prepared to backstab you anytime at your fragility. Just like 1962.India is your enemy. Japan is your enemy. US is your enemy. Vietnam is your enemy.
You have got MANY enemies.
Perhaps time to cut some enemies, make some friends?
It doesn't make sense to make friends with people with malign intention and prepared to backstab you anytime at your fragility. Just like 1962.
India is still occupying Chinese south Tibet, so can't be friends.
Modi doesn't agree with the way you think.Indians talk the same way about China.
India and China are not meant to fight. They should be supposed to be brothers.
The rivalry between India and China serves only the west. There should be some mutual compromise.
