The Metro Rail Guy | Kochi’s First Metro Train Gets Ready to Roll Out of Alstom’s Indian Plant

The motor-car of the first train for Kochi’s Metro was recently spotted getting ready for delivery at Alstom’s rolling stock manufacturing plant located at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh! This coach is part of the 75 coach (25 train-sets x 3 coach) contract that Alstom India had won in August 2014 after quoting a price of Rs 633 crore. The 2.9m wide & 65m long trains will be able to accommodate up to 975 passengers with 140 of them seated.
