That is not true, the bilateral trading between China and India is larger then Pakistan. If India does put out a request to China for the armys deal, China would do so. The only reason India does not because it feels that it would be buying a inferior product.

No, you need to understand and differentiate between economic trade ties and military trade ties of nations. They are very different things, just because bilateral nations have a strong trade relations it does not mean this unlocks military trade relations.

The political relations are also very important. If we look at the US as an example...we have strong trade relations with the Chinese do you think we would sell them a bullet?...the answer is no.
