But will Indian goods be cheaper than Chinese goods? And how would India benefit from more trade with Pakistan?

.
It won't be, unless you import it directly from India.

How these would be cheap if we import directly ?

give me statistics and also give me assurance that bharatis will not cheat us again by abruptly stopping the supply for the deals for which they already had been paid

lol even US doesn't give you that assurance when you buy F-16's from them, does it?

Don't be unfair to us.

:P we are still a long way to come up with misconception that fair men get jobs immediately. our men still rely on brain than skin for job

Well, regarding assurance... It would be better for both parties if we could sign an agreement. However it would be naive to think that agreements like this would be upheld during times of war.

I dont know how you people classify Hindu, Muslim, Sikh names. In Indian Punjab Sikhs have many common names with Pakistan Punjabi Muslims ie. Iqbal, Amitabh, Liaqat, Zorawar. Our surnames are allmost same - Malhi, Sidhu, Brar, Malik etc etc. In South India Muslims have names with Hindu sounding tones.

In a few years time, yes.

As China's per capita income goes up and more and more Chinese start coming into the middle income zone, the cost of Chinese labour is bound to increase.

The cost of Chinese labour has increased over the past 2-3 years itself. Many Chinese companies have had to face increasingly violent strikes etc. by unsatisfied labour. As a result, they've had to increase the wages of the labour thereby increasing the cost of the Chinese products.

This trend will only continue in the future and India, being far behind China in per capita income is only going to benefit from this.

If only India could seize the opportunity and work on its manufacturing sector.

You can obviously save up on the shipping cost, which will in turn reduce the cost of the article.

And for the second part (which might is related to the cotton we did't supply, maybe ), The production of cotton in India has been low, we did't supply them to any foreign entities, we have to run our own indigenous industries. Hopefully the price paid for that has been returned......

It will cheaper than the price you are already paying for them by buying them through Dubai as you will be cutting down the middle man.

Are you naive of what..there are no assurances in business..except the very basic one of Demand and supply
If we do not have enough supplies or Demand exceeds the supply..then obviously we will quench our own demands first, before exporting these products.

Other than that, if you think you are doing India a favor by regularizing the trade..then you are very wrong..Indian export are already getting paid for their products..its you who are paying higher price than you should for the same products..coz ego is not allow you to accept facts on the ground and are buying the same products through Dubai .

That is what i am asking .

Every exporter has certain niche products ..on which they are best quality and are cheapest rates..again rule of demand and supply will take over, if you but let it flow.

Anything india makes - we can get at a better price and superior quality from the PRC - no offence but in manufacturing india is a pygmy, you are mainly a service based on services. And also we have a free trade agreement with them.

ideally nice suggestion but again since Indian violated signed trade agreement and stopped supplies to harm Pakistani textile recently. how can we Pakistani traders can trust that India wont violate this such an agreement

Yet you are still buying Indian goods via Dubai..pls do tell the logic in that?
