He must be saying that India can defeat China in defense if China decides to attack India..... I too believe this....
If you look at Russia Ukraine war, Ukraine doesn't even have natural barrier like Himalaya to slow down the Russian advance whereas India is blessed with this Barrier.... Ukraine still giving a strong fight to Russians in spite of having very weak and small military in comparison..... still Kiev not yet fallen....
India not only enjoys Himalaya barrier with most of the sites on top in her control but also have a much larger (though outdated compared to China) military compared to Ukraine.... Imagine how bloody will be the all out border war for China if she decides to do Ukraine on India.... China is very powerful no doubt but attacking and defeating something big like India that too in Himalayan terrain is no joke..... both sides will suffer huge losses and most likely the result will be a stalemate with both sides sitting on small small chunks of each others territory....

What makes you think it need be a battle through the high Himalayas?
China will easily obtain air superiority by making use of its estimated 150 100 J-20s to spearhead it's force of nearly 1000 4/5 gen fighters.
Then Indian SAM sites will be taken out one by one and Indian armour picked off at leisure.
Finally China can land mobile airborne forces behind the Indian defending border forces and attack them from the front and rear.
India would get a bitchslap never before seen in history!

If things were that easy in real war by now Russia would have annexed entire Ukraine..... USA would have turned Iran into next Afghanistan......
Real war is not fanboys fantasy..... 200-300 fighters taking out enemy defense and then paratroopers attacking enemy from front and rear..... If it was that easy then china by now would have taken whatever she wants from India already.....
Thing is some Bangladesh members seem to believe 16 or 32 hi-tech fighters can take on India or deter India or Bangladesh army is capable of defending Bangladesh if India attacks but for them India with such a large military is so helpless when it comes defending herself from China or others.....

Except Chinese won't attack us as long as they have USAF and USN close to home
Until they have full advantage over Americans in SCS and close to Taiwan, India will remain off China's radar. Under current circumstances with Xi's rule not happening any time soon
China will continue to use its historical policy of using the regional cheerleader as proxy and scapegoat against India

Observe Russia's strategy. They did not go for blitzkrieg. They went in a measured approach since they had anticipated support from fellow Slavic people and hoped to install a puppet regime.
China on the other hand will not have such problems. So in terms of strictly Conventional war, India will lose with China head to head. At the same time, I don't think China can hold on to Indian territory for long time either. That's a lot of hostile people to subdue and control. So eventually they will also have to withdraw.
In terms of Bangladesh, I don't think any Bangladeshi ever claims we can take on India in a conventional war. It will be the same war of attrition through guerilla tactics and any Indian invading force will eventually have to withdraw in long term. India doesn't have the power to invade and control a hostile population of 150+ million.
That said, referring back to the topic, that guy is clearly a joker to think India alone can win against China, where US wouldn't dare it.
