India, Afghanistan plan air cargo link over Pakistan

If we really wanted to send stuff behind your back, trust me there are other ways, but as said Pak is a nuclear armed country and should be a bit more confident in her abilities :)

/Peace

Back in 2001 when the USA invaded your country, I read a news story saying they are very interested in a 'flour mill' in Afghanistan that was started by a Pakistani guy. The USA is a nuclear armed country and very much confident in her abilities, but it still showed interest in a mere 'flour mill'. I want Pakistan to show the same type of interest in the contents destined towards Afghanistan.

/Peace.

Chinese DM was in Afghanistan this week and mentioned that Afghanistan is an intgeral part of the OBAR vision, and will start a trilateral meeting between PAK, CHINA and AF to start work on railway proejcts connecting both Pak-and AF.

We all need to think pan-region and stop this zero-sum games and some in the region especially those carrying nulcear weapons should start acting like adults and not be premadonnas like they are in this instance.

/Peace
We very much hope that Afghanistan will be peaceful and stable

US is superpower, their military prowess is top notch yet you will see them crying over haqqanis or LeT. Nuclear or no nuclear doesn't change anything.

More than the airlink, the rail link through Iran is more effective and efficient.
what is very important thing which can be done by airlift..... ISI need to be very careful..... every plan need to monitor welll.... if needed then should be grounded.....

air link is just for time being , its also costly..
, the chinese going to make pakistan to open a rail link to afganistan as well to china...
after all they too need to send their goods to north india via lahore....

Good luck. How financially viable is it by the way to transport fruits and nuts over planes? This step seems to be more motivated by politics than commerce. The Chabahar route makes more financial sense as compared to this.

Afghanistan is a mineral rich country and and will play a major role in boosting economy of exporting nations. Countries like China needs Afghanistan's raw material to boost their manufacturing sector. I think if only Afghanistan was making wiser decisions and sided with China, their economy would have been in much better shape by now. It is their choice if they want to maintain better relationship with India, they will just progress slowly but will ultimately prosper in the right direction

Aren't Pakistani flights still using the Indian air space?
So what's so special about India-Afghan air cargo link?
It is just a publicity gimmick of Indian government to ease the pressure of closure of exports and land transit through Pakistan.

Cargo Aircraft can overfly Pakistan but are expensive, hence the cost of Indian products would be increased, which could reduce the exports as cheaper alternates would be available from other markets.

I still don't see why are you guys making such a big fuss? You dont allow Afghanistan and India to do trade via land, so we make an air corridor, that simple.to do commerce.

Stop with this looking after us part, you did what you thought was in your interest period.
You still are going to fly over us or some other route? What if we ask to stop using our airspace, what than?

selling raw material can never going to made fortune to any nation....

They have to begin from somewhere right?

China would have developed industrial sector in Afghanistan if it was allowed to tap its mineral resources. Although reliance on single nation is always a bad idea but Chinese influence would have pumped US and European nations to tap the mineral resources.

There are two type of cargo mainly, Perishable an nonperishable. Aircraft are mostly used for perishable goods because they save the time keeping these goods fresh.

Note: These perishable goods are transported for atleast twice the price of non perishable goods be it on land, sea or air.

firstly the airspace usage has to get agreed in form of agreement by the country whom airspace will be used and in this case Pakistan if India & Afghanistan wants to use Pakistani airspace for their trade purpose otherwise a very long uneconomical air route needed to be adopt if clearance is not given by Pakistan.

and using Pakistan airspace, Pakistani authorities reserves the right to force land any flight for inspection :crazy_pilot:

yes , they have to begin from somewhere but not by starting with selling themself...

if they have coal....put coal base power plants and strat with coal locomotives in railway...once electric generation pick up , move to electric locomotives....
