Only 1.8 per cent of electorate cast their votes in the first four hours of polling in Occupied Kashmir during the fourth and final phase of urban bodies elections Tuesday, officials said, PTI has reported.

In Srinagar Municipal Corporation, only 3,997 of the 2.42 lakh voters cast their votes in 24 wards so far, the officials said.

They said the turnout was better in Ganderbal where 6.2 per cent of the 8,908 voters exercised their franchise during the same period.

Polling began at 6 am amidst stringent security arrangements at 308 polling stations in the twin districts of Srinagar and Ganderbal. It would end at 4 pm.

That's cool.

They can keep not caring.

The only ones losing are them.

The onus is on them. Not us.

We are simply going to maintain our territorial integrity. And leave them to stew inside in their brainwashed Islamist delusions.

Cheers, Doc

it was they who protect your so-called territorial integrity in 1965 war..
if they would have sided with Pakistan in 1965 war, more than 2/3 of Kashmir would have be in control of Pakistan.
but now young generation would have been cursing their forefathers for believing in indian promises in 1965.

They did their duty as Indians.

They need to come to their senses.

A few hundreds or even thousands protesting on the street mean nothing in a state of millions. And this is the strong reason why our neighbour never again dare try another "Operation Gibraltar". Even today, given the volatile situation in Kashmir, you guy's are still not sure whether Gibraltar-II (if initiated) will succeed or not, not even sure whether an average Kashmiri will support such an act. The fact that an "Operation Gibraltar" will never ever happen again.:lol::lol:

Regarding the topic, the source "Times Of Islamabad" and that's enough said. :hitwall:

The overall voting percentage for the urban local bodies of the state was 35.1 per cent," said an election department official, adding the turnout for the final phase, held only for two municipal bodies in valley was 4.2 percent.

Wow all of a sudden 1.8 % simply jumped to 35.1% within two replies. Well that in itself is a great achievement. LOL :yahoo::yahoo::yahoo:

Our country our rules. Now be happy with what you have and let us keep what we have and coexist happily. :-)
