Chairman Imran Khan urges an end to state oppression, brutalities against Kashmiri people

Stressing upon the need to resolve the Kashmir issue according to the aspirations of Kashmiri people, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Tuesday vowed that after coming into power, the PTI would resolve the Kashmir issue through peaceful dialogue with Kashmir.

In his message on Kashmir solidarity day being observed (Feb 5) on Tuesday (today), Imran Khan said that due to the incapability of the incumbent and previous governments in both India and Pakistan, the Kashmir issue became complex despite the fact that resolving of the Kashmir issue is in the interest of the peoples of Pakistan and India as well as of Kashmiri people living either side of the Line of Control (LoC). He said that only a solution of Kashmir dispute could ensure peace in the region. He urged that the human rights violations in Indian Occupied Kashmir should be stopped immediately.

The PTI chief made it clear that the dream of peace in the region could not be materialized until the provision of all the rights to Kashmiri people, adding that the Kashmiris should also be included into Pakistan-India talks as they were as important stakeholders in resolving the dispute as were Pakistan or India.

He said that not the militancy but dialogue was the only solution of the Kashmir dispute but no concrete steps have been taken yet by either side to resolve the issue through peaceful means. “If my party comes to power, Kashmir would be the top agenda of my government,” vowed Imran Khan.

Condemning every type of brutalities against the Kashmiri people in Indian-held Kashmir, PTI chairman said that without the provision of rights to Kashmiri people neither the military resources nor the militancy have any solution.

Imran Khan also asked the governments of both sides to demilitarize the South Asia region and turn the bilateral talks into trilateral dialogue as, according to him, will of Kashmiri people should be the top most priority while making any efforts towards resolution of the issue. He said besides a great injustice with Kashmiri people, the issue also threatened regional peace and prosperity.

There is no need to resolve.
Pakistani leaders can use it to gain political advantage,India just wont talk about it,we always maintained that Kashmir is ours and you can't do anything.

I am really amused by this posturing by Pakistanis political class... even though they know they cant do a $hit about it ...they love to rant about it to gain political mileage. they are not bothered about people being Killed in their own country but their crocodile tears about Kashmir...

thats probably because they are Kashmiri Muslims and India right now is evil big !!

Imran Khan should maybe look into the condition of Pakistani Hindus and Sikhs instead so they dont run to India as refugees every day.

We will take care of our own people, about time Pakistanis start learning to take care of their own rather than driving minorities out to India...

And Imran khan can take a Hike, just like previous Military Rulers/head of the state's of pakistan

No one gives a flying f@#k about his views here. *True Story*

In the end, he is also a politician who is trying to absorb as much votes as he can!!

Imran khan should worry about Pashtuns who are displaced because of WOT, The people in Kashmir are far better than the Pashtuns on either side of Durand line.

Pakistan has the habit of loud mouthing and U - turns in international arena.

Paihe ... :meeting:bhi toh kamane hai 22 ji...

Kashmir is a disputed territory, and Indians claiming it as their territory is not according to the wishes of the Kashmiris themselves. Indians treat them like Cattle, and then they claim to be democracy and care for Human rights. Hypocrites.

It is a case of 'Might is Right' simple as that.

he can't talk to kashmir as kashmir is a state of india.so he have to talk to india first in order to talk to kashmir.

on a lighter note i see politics in pakistan is dominated by kashmir issue rather then telletubbies(talibans),growth, infrastructure and development.

india ka sirf aik eilaj al jihad al jihad

india kabhi bhi kashmir ko plate mai rakh kar nahi dai ga in ko waha sai bhagana hoga aur hum bhagayai gai
