I like the way world chess games been played. By following multilateral diplomacy one can keep their friendly country's enemies as some leverage over their friends.

We should stop this right away. We should keep Pakistan with in US costly jets which will affect their economy and openly watched by US. Russian arms will not only be cheap but very advanced too. we cant alow this to happen .Let tye Chinese shed money and the Poor quality will keep Pakistan air force in check.

:cheesy: :omghaha: You guys are STILL in denial!!!! Allow me to re-explain the reality. At this time in the history, India has 0 significance when it comes to Pakistan, and same goes for Pakistan. India is a bigger country and a much bigger economy. Pakistan is also a growing economy and presents tremendous opportunities for any big country for investments and joint production, etc. Russia and China, see multi-billion dollars profits coming out of Pakistan starting in the next few years.

Like any good businessman, you can't just have ONE big customer. You will go make as many solid customers as you can, to remain in business. So, Russia, China, the US are ALL doing the same thing. Because of the opportunities that exist in both India and now in Pakistan, the world has decided to put the two in separate buckets and no influence or leverage of one is applicable on the other. China didn't care to listen to Indian concerns, Russia didn't care either, nor she will, the US just sold Pakistan Vipers despite "strong" Indian protests, French are already discussing providing weapons in the future for the JFT to sell to Arab states.....do you see anything India can do here? That game of Indian influence my friend, is OVER!!!

Pakistan that you knew till 2012 is NOT the same Pakistan that you are dealing with in 2015!!! The current Pakistan, is about to become the top 18th or 16th economy within the next 8-10 years. So embrace yourself for some serious competition in IT, Medical, Research and other labor markets!!!

i have an idea Pakistan can do something like the rose program buy old su27's and buy new su35's and incorporate the su35 components on to the old su27's. it saves time and money

What is unit cost of used upgraded Su-30? And how potent they might be? Will those come in similar cost of MLUed F-16?

@gambit your opinion is requested on above.

Would be nice to get brand new top of line fighter from Russia , retire some French units

on paper your economy is brilliant. but in reality its not so good. you r government needs to reduce export tariff to increase exports. also it needs to add more incentives for foreign investors. Pakistan has some incentives, but only in the energy sector, but not in the other industries especially textiles, IT medicines and agriculture. some of these issues has been addressed by sbp but the government refuses to listen and act.

a new su30mkk is $57 million each so used would typically be $30 million, but this is dependant on age and airframe quality

I know you told me you have dyslexia in a similar post before. So I'd respect that. Do read my post and respond per the post. Don't change the topic entirely.

My post was outlining the fact that India DOES NOT have any leverage over Pakistan anymore to stop anyone from doing business with Pakistan. Whether its Russia, the US or the Chinese.

Whether Pakistan's economy is great or has tariff issues or no or a lot of tax breaks, has NOTHING to do with my post you are responding to. Stay on the topic.

thats true business is business and some countries do have not leverage over others. but in regards to the india leveraging pakistan you're are correct to an extent. i was just pointing out the weakness of pakistans economy whilst you pointing out the positives..
also what does pakistan economy has to do with buying Russian weapons?
if they can afford to buy american weapons then buying Russian weapons will be just the slightest easier in terms of finances.
i do still think you are not an american

Compare to the failed F35 Project , a nation like Pakistan can easily get Top of Line Fighter Jet

Sukhoi-35 and upgrade the fleet

su35_large.jpg

36 Sukhoi-35 , would make the front line fighters more potent

Considering we have not purchased a high end weapon for some time, this would be a no brainer and immediate purchase 36-40 planes would help secure airspace for 20-25 years

We dont make statemebts until it is fully materialised S 20 subs MI 35 we never officialy said we buy them officialy means by military FM 90 is another example F 16 from jordan
kioun din mein sapnay dikha raha hai. Woh Kia hai Kay mein thora emotional kisam ka banda hoon.

Russia can sell Pakistan su 35,dowgrade the specs, even a down graded one will be better than what they can get from china.HAL should assemble them and deliver it to PFA.

Win-win for all.
It'd have to be downgraded, anything too complex and HAL will definitely fail in assembling it.

When you are buying both of them then what's the point of switching the components unless you are talking about grounded su-27 so they can be used as spares.

in a war situation, it would be like keep the air space secure for about a month, 2 max. remember india has mki which share some similarities to the su35. but obviously the su35 is better but they have a huge amount of su30 mki's. i would prefer if people talk sense before they talk. but nice pics though. i prefer this picture though.

my idea is to rapidly incread the pakisti air forces fleet. older airframes that are too old may be cannibalised for spares.

Well Sukhoi-35 will move our Airforce into 2000+ era , much needed upgrade

We have alot of Mirages 150-200 that we need to replace and 36 odd Sukhoi-35 would help retire the Mirage fleet

Would be excellent purchase for Airforce add more quality

Sukhoi-35 could be the "Main Air Space Protector" if we opt for this Jet , very capable

I see this really as chance to replace the 1960-1970's Mirage technology its really about time

Tier 1 : Sukhoi - Air Superiority / Protecting Airspace

Tier 2: F16 , Special Missions , Air Space protection

Tier 3 : JF17 Thunder Workhorse

Tier 4 : Chinese / Mirage

Sukhoi would certainly help retire mirage fleet

I highly doubt we'll see a Sukhoi in the Pakistani air force. PAF prefers western and Chinese, adding another country would increase costs and complicate things further.
