What is more interesting to note is that there is really something about the Su-35BM that has people scrambling for it.
Previous Sukhoi variants were not so "attractive" as this one is.

And yet what ever HAL can assemble is more than enought for PAF .It'd have to be downgraded, anything too complex and HAL will definitely fail in assembling it.
In reality there is not much. So much so that even RuAF picked the 30SM, not the 35bm.What is more interesting to note is that there is really something about the Su-35BM that has people scrambling for it.

" According to Kramnik, Russian negotiators, originally seeking to export a larger order of 48 planes, are also negotiating safeguards in the event that China makes a copy of its plane, as was the case with its Su-27 fighter jet, which was copied by the Chinese J-11 jet.
Other potential buyers include Pakistan and Brazil, with Kramnik also referring to figures from manufacturer Polet, which makes parts for the Su-35, showing increased production of its onboard system in order to fulfil orders for a total of 60 aircraft from Vietnam, Venezuela and Indonesia.

This news is warming up in different respectable defence news portals and forums. It seems news has some smoke, let see the if there is any fire too. Ilya Karmik is well respected defence analyst and reporter.
Yes. But canards are good thing. Also, I would like to tell you that Su-27s with upgrades comes similar to any latest thing as you can house Avionics even of a Raptor or a SU-35 in any plane. Also, the engines are already good and you can just upgrade them for better performance with FADEC and other things. If those 27s were that good in being multi role then why China and India went to buy 30s? There are limitations even with upgrades of 27s. 30s have better air frame and can house 35s tech in it. With 35s engines 30s will be much better plane and will not need canards like Indian MKIs.

So, with all the upgrades and may be a unit cost with training of $35 Million per piece it would a be a nice bet for PN to acquire at least 100 of them to guard the coast better 24/7 with MPA and UAVs.
Canards are good but when it comes to Su-27 & above model they don't need it, only MKI have those because it is heaver then others and its engines will have more load if canards are not added, if India chose Su-35 engine then they will not need canards in their MKIs.
It seemto be a tactic to pressurize india to buy some. We should go for it cutting short the SU 30 order.
These are new engines which were not available that time. We are replacing our old MKI engines with new ones in super MKIs.
I think you haven't read my Post I know this fact Alreadysu-35 is better than su-30..............we will see when the super upgrade comes.
Even US fighters haven't,t Seen Actions Except facing Some Outdated Middle Eastern CountriesHold your horses guys. How many have you seen any SU's in the real battle? Same question goes for Rafael. I mean to say, the only time France used them when NATO raided some poor country. War games doesn't mean any thing because engaging in real dog fight tells a true quality of a plane. So far all of these companies will say anything to sell their products.
Which one normal MKI or MKK version or Super Sukhoi (over hauled)? What is unit cost of used upgraded Su-30? And how potent they might be? Will those come in similar cost of MLUed F-16?
@gambit your opinion is requested on above.
