Weren't Bangladeshis (East Pakistani before 1971) supposed to be Pakistan Army's "own people"?

Also the answer to this question depends on whether you consider pak non-muslims, shias, ahmedis, baloch, tribals as own people....

Majority of Armies in the Muslim World are Western-owned dogs. If it really comes to the shove, Pakistan Army will do exactly what Egyptian Army did.

These armies won't survive without their masters' backing...so they'll go against their own people for their survival....

So I have no doubt that Pakistan Army will also fire at Pakistanis, if the situation comes down to the red line as in Egypt.

PS. Shame on Egyptian Army...What they have done today shall define history. Egypt will never going to be the same as before.

I am sure as hell that if there is some big crisis in Turkey, Turkish Army will also take over Erdogan's government. These pet dogs of West (Armies of Muslim World) can't stand Muslims taking things in their own hands..They are what historians call "the local agents of neo-colonialism" ...

Were not Bangladeshis before 1971 Pakistan Army's "own people"? Are the baloch and tribals that have been killed by pakistani army we keep hearing about in this very forum not Pakistani Army's own people?

This situation is Pakistan & Egypt are different ... if Army Does come into power its will be due to fact that Politicians are running this country to the ground .. and at that time the Public support will be with the Army as it always has been .. even today 6/10 still support Army over these politicians .

Its a Valid Question , who do you define as own people ? There is nothing special about Pakistan Army or Indian Army ....

Pakistan Military is not like Egypt who takes good amount of money from Budget and whole $$$ Billions in Aid from many Wester countries and eats up everything. Although we have a small GDP and a much smaller military budget like $ 6 Billion for the whole year.

I think Egypt Military and other Govt. Departments need some good men.

This exactly what Egyptian army says. It says that its the 'national army' and had to come forward for the public.

By the way Jinnah was very blunt about role of Army:

“Do not forget that the armed forces are the servants of the people. You do not make national policy; it is we, the civilians, who decide these issues and it is your duty to carry out these tasks with which you are entrusted.”

- I don't think Pakistan army will go to this extreme.
