Indian Zahid Hamid conspiracy theory ....hence the tarring and feathering of jaswant Singh for trying to correct the irrational hatred of Jinnah and Pakistan in India.Because British planned the Partition in 1888 and our stupid leaders could not understand the plan & they themselves were greedy for the power.
Soon the Kashmir problem was created and in that British (& EVEN AMERICA) played a important role and everything after that is History.

Kashmir problem was not created by the British, but it was perpetuated by India through its refusal to allow a plebsicite.
A civil servant made a comment of some sort - now did he pay off and brainwash all the Muslim League leadership and supporters, not to mention the millions who voted for Pakistan?Indian Partition and Neo
As the British civil servant Sir John Strachey wrote in 1888, "the truth plainly is that the existence side by side of these hostile creeds is one of the strong points in our political position in India. The better classes of Mohammedans are already a source to us of strength and not of weakness.... They constitute a small but energetic minority of the population, whose political interests are identical with ours." (India, 1888, p.225).

^^If the above is wrong please let me know i will change my mind without asking any questions.
The Tribal invasion started off without any official Pakistani or British instigation - the assistance, when it did come, was extremely low level, through a Pakistani Army officer, Major Akbar. To be frank i don't know what exactly when wrong during that time but both India & Pakistan were fooled in the Kashmir Issue.
All top civil and military officers were British in Pakistan. They made a plan for Pakistan to attack Kashmir with some tribesmen in mufti to invade Kashmir on October 20. This made Maharaja and National Conference of Shiekh Abdullah ask for Indias help. After accepting accession, Indian army was sent to prevent the Pak invaders from occupation of Kashmir. As the fighting was going on, Mountbatten asked Congress leaders not to attack Pakistan but to complain to UN.

Before 47 it used to be called India. So why not USI (United States of India) with a more federated tinge to it, taking Muslim/Sikh/Christian sensitivities into view. The subcontinent's Muslims would have been a significant minority. We would be the largest Hindu and Muslim nation on the planet by head count. WoW!
We would have the richness of Urdu and ghazals which Bollywood has lost complete sight of. We would also have some of the best rock bands to call our own!
