Production drastically falls only if it's quality is below par and consumer is not really happy with the product...So that does make sense why the production drastically fell...

Suppa powa is better than being Supa pawn like your country 1st it was America & now China, check the above post of @gslv mk3 for info about our defense capability

Usual BS.See that they have even exported small quantities to Israel and Thailand.

And we produce nearly all of ammunition in house-check the link I provided.

If you were exporting them and getting profits in return then would a sane mind let go of such oppurtunity and giving up all profit's for nothing unless something is seriously wrong with the product...

That is because the organisation producing it is a Public Sector Undertaking.

Since when are 5.56 NATO rounds become 'IAF ammunition'?

Why does India even use that rifle? For what? Embarrassing.

People heading the defense ministry need to be swapped.

This article doesn't make any sense. They're advertising NATO ammunition as Israeli ammunition.
You don't understand the very basics- Israel makes NATO standard ammunition.

Within NATO there is standardised ammunition calibres- 5.56x45, 7.62x51, 9x19P and 12.7x99, so that all within the alliance can share ammo easily. Most ammo makers around the world work to this standard.
