The update is running 10 yrs behind schedule

Any possibility of a regime change in BD, and the IA will be right in Dhaka!! Their dream will come true for in 1975 they couldn’t do it after the fall of Mujib. Something is always better than nothing....

dont be too happy. our sqn consist of a lesser number of aircraft. they will still have SU-30s, Mig-29s, mirage 2000s, and rafales. while all we will have are a few dozen old f-16s and a few dozen jf-17s, all the rest are obsolete.

The problem is Pakistan has lined up thunders for sustained production while india has nothing else to induct..rafales will come but it hasnt ordered anything else . tejas is dream, rafales further orders is in question and new fighter program is tumbling, fifth gen fighter is shelved

If IAF is serious about PLAAF it should immediately get gripen/f16 for serial production in 200+ numbers to replace the mig21/27. This is an immediate requirement nit something 10-20yrs down the line

Isn't serviceability of su 30 mki somewhere around 50% Mark?

bigger issue is pilots..IAF doesnt has even 1:1 ratio of pilots

though they are aggressively working on this

It will be finalized before the mid of 2020...

Probably 4+2 combination will be used in A2A role
