IAF Mirage-2000 Another One That Got Away !

1. Those you know what happened know what happened on both sides and many more.

2. IAF didn't mount a heli rescue. The helo downed was returning from a supply drop with civilians on board. It didn’t have any garud troops. Btw it was 200km away from the conflict zone. It was shot down right outside the base as the air defense took it for a uav moving towards the base.

3. Should have held the downed pilot for longer instead of your pm putting an emergency session andwaving white flag 15 mins before Indian press conference, you would have got your answer.

4. How is this linked to the skirmish? Maybe have stuck to banning all pharma from india instead of reversing it 2 weeks later after figuring out couldnt make up for the basic medical requirements.
and don't tro and bring another conspiracy theory you guys have no logic on 27 FAB 2019, and as for that specific friendly fire incident that how good you IFF system was working on that day

We all know how on 27th February 2019, during Pakistan Air Force's counter offensive to earlier failed Balakot strikes by the Indian Air Force, in addition to shooting down two IAF fighter jets, PAF had at least 7 other Indian aircraft squarely painted and all could have been shot down with just press of some buttons.
It has now emerged that among others, the OC of PAF No 26 Squadron flying in his JF-17 had a Mirage-2000 firmly locked with no chance of escape. He was repeatedly heard, shouting and begging for clearance to ''Fire''. Unfortunately, in the light as not to escalate hostilities, that clearance never came. However, under the circumstances. Just imagine the shockwave the news of a Thunder taking out Mirage-2000, would have sent across the world. None the less PAF can rejoice in the fact that when the test came, the JF-17 held more than it's own against Indian front line fighters.
I think once airborne and in combat the clearance ti fire should be left to the pilot

What exactly does that mean? Then why does every modern air force do recce ops to clearly assess post strike damage ?
See the video footage publicly released by the Russian Air Force below?
No one challenges this

That isn't the helicopter we are referring to. There were other helicopters in the vicinity tasked especially with rescuing downed pilots from enemy territory. All air-forces have these special helicopters with special troops. Here is what your AVM Anil Khosla on duty that day told the BBC about the rescue attempt of the downed Bison pilot . Watch the video below and scroll to 8:52

We held Flt.Lt. Nachiketa much longer during Kargil and we are still holding Commander Kulbhushan Yadav. We also captured Babu Lal Chauhan in 2016 after the famous "surgical strikes". No matter what press conference you would hold. No white flag was waived then in 1999 and no white flag was waived 2019.

We delivered a response.

There was no escalation from India even though AVM Khosla admits our response was "act of war".

Why ?

AVM Anil Khosla said it all " It is above my payscale "

Hain, what a logic ! Yr airforce was there to fight areal battle or playing test cricket that declared the day and came home.

FYI, Sukhoi and Mirages were part separate formations and flying different areas, in fact in different states.

Mirages were already flying CAPs in Northen kashmir when they would have encountered PAF formation.

While Su30 flew from Punjab to Jammu where they countered and faced barrage of AMRAAM albeit none manage to hit them.

So to say PAF thought they shot down two Indian jets and then they hesitated to take down Mirages is simply illogical since PAF formations must encountered Mirages in North kashmir much before Su30s and even Mig21s which came in the end.
Be happy with your delusional thinking and false pride. :-)

Do a little bit research on your own about spyder instead of believing you state sponsor propaganda.
Spyder can actually tell what type of heli, fighter jet, drone is flying even if IFF is turned on or off.
and since the mi17 was coming from a different direction then pakistan even the most dumbest of the dumbest Spyder operator would have known that its not a enemys helicopter.
It was actually PAF JF17 that shot down MI17 and pakistan does not take that claim for deescalation... I can give you some evidence if you would like...

as for abhinonedone.... your naval spy has been in pakistan custody for several years even though india bit#hes about it every where... and abhi is lucky that he survives missile impact, and beat up by civilians so when the decision was made to shot down Mig, pakistan was well aware of repercussions if the pilot gets killed but they still shot it down.

Its not only Abhi..
There was Nachiketa before him.
A pilot getting killed during the shoot down or after is not a consideration in war.,
Fl.Lt. Ahuja piloting a Mig 21 was killed in 1999, during the Kargil war and so were the crew of a helicopter.
Soviet and Afghan pilots died when fighting the PAF on the border during the Soviet Union's intervention in Afghanistan.

Using all tricks for minor perceptive victories while losing the grand scheme of things is hallmark of Pakistani geopolitical history.
And i guess blowing up some 40 own soldiers to gain some brownies is just another day in your Modified nation....hell the water is already under the bridge, let's wait for the next spectacular.
I am now confused, how many jets did PAF shoot down that day, how many doosra bandas were apprehended..???
Everyday something new and confusing comes out of Pakistan regarding this engagement, maybe new things are cooked up as time progresses..!!!!
There's no further claim of shooting down more jets than what had already been disclosed.
As for doosra banda, why not sign off another cheque and invite Christine Fair again to add insult to injury.

@Windjammer

It's good that permission wasn't granted saving millions of dollar worth Chinese Bvr missiles from going to waste and very wise humanitarian choice when u think of it as Four American AMRAAM fired at Su30s failed to hit anything except poor Gujjar Muslim man in Jammu's Resai district causing loss of his legs.

We must allow our pilots to take the decision to shoot into their own hands. Are we all if sudden following the soviet model if command to receive ground clearance before firing? Because then that would be worrying

That would have dire consequences.

PAF is not Iraqi or Syrian air force.

Same BS again, so where are they did your IAF manage to find them. show us the proof. The kind of low lives you endians are, if you had found those so called amraams you would have shown them to the world long time ago. The only amraam you showed the world was taken out from the arse of a downed SU 30. koyie sharam hoti hai koyie haya hoti hai. but endians and sharam are miles apart.

Its funny that Indiot military found AMRAAM within minutes while it has been 2 years and they are unable to locte rest of AMRAAMs that were fired. lol
