We don't we call them Shaheeds .. Even the tombs have shared written on the. N not a martyr .. Sometimes people use martyr infront on non Muslims who wouldn't know anything about shahadat, ghazi or mujahid concepts..

What about Hindus ? Do you believe in jehad, ghazi, mujahid etc aswell?
Ghazi the one who fights a war and survives.

Shaheed never dies (Al-Quran) . One who gives ultimate sacrifice in the path of righteousness or Allahs path.

Mujahid .. One who struggles.

Jihad comes from the word jehd which means struggle..

Etc etc.. If you don't even believe in Islamic than why would you even use Islamic terms for your dead??

We Indians use the word "Shaheed" to a person who laid down his life for his country.........He can be muslim, He can be Christian, He can be a Hindu,

Just like Martyrdom being a Christian concept has now become a "secular" word in English, similarly Shaheed is used as a secular word in Hindustani languages.

Now give it a rest.

There is nothing secular about that word.. Or maybe because you don't have any concept of mRtyrdom in your religion ?

Aur tu thekedar hai islam ka? ya urdu ka?

We are open to good things so we took shaheed. You keep jihad and mujahid.

Tou l pey kyun char raha hai .. Apnay ghar mein nahin khara tu .. Tameez say baat kar ghatiya insaan..

No idea, I gues some religons need humans to protect it, some don't, probably why there is no concept of martyrdom in Hinduism.

As far as martyrdom is concerned, you can be a martyr for your nation for you country, religion isn't the only driving force.

Dude , it does not matter what word we use , what matters more is that we have same feelings .

well there is word in Hindi for MARTYR which is हुतात्मा (Which literally means giving your soul ) . If you would read old text you will find the use of this word in context of martyr.

We do have Veergati, which translates into a concept similar to Shahadat or Martyrdom. The Indian Army traditionally had used Shaheed as the word to describe those who died in the line of duty. The practice has continued after independence, and is a very popular usage now. Veergati ko prapt hona is also used sometimes.
