Does courage have a religious overtone ?

Since you insist on finding fault in its usage, there are more followers of Islam in India than in Pakistan and we do not have a problem calling a martyr by any name.

.
Their supreme sacrifices and committment to serve the nation at any cost will be inspiration for the rest of the youth and generations yet to come in our country. God bless their brave souls.

Is this true ?

It's a joke.. A stupid n not funny one.. Makes nonsense. It seems the chief is a movie buff.

In India we have not yet differentiated between usage of Urdu & Hindi words in speech nor shall we.

As regards percentages of Muslim population we are ahead. Being off topic would not like to discuss this any further.

.
No its not. As you said Saheed is an Islamic concept, and we know Martyrdom is a Christian concept. You should call your shaheed a shaheed in English too.

We don't we call them Shaheeds .. Even the tombs have shared written on the. N not a martyr .. Sometimes people use martyr infront on non Muslims who wouldn't know anything about shahadat, ghazi or mujahid concepts..

What about Hindus ? Do you believe in jehad, ghazi, mujahid etc aswell?
Ghazi the one who fights a war and survives.

Shaheed never dies (Al-Quran) . One who gives ultimate sacrifice in the path of righteousness or Allahs path.

Mujahid .. One who struggles.

Jihad comes from the word jehd which means struggle..

Etc etc.. If you don't even believe in Islamic than why would you even use Islamic terms for your dead??
