'I had the honour of flying your brave son'

. . . .
Shaheed is an Islamic word n has Islamic meanings.. Don't you have your own word for martyr or something?
Really @DESERT FIGHTER you come on THIS thread discussing THIS topic and pick up on such a trivial detail? REALLY??

Mate, I thought you were better than that..........o_O

@Topic, a moving gesture indeed, remind me of the movie Taking Chance, I don't know if any of you have had the chance to see it.

. .
I honestly cannot believe this thread has got to NINETEEN PAGES and only about 20 posts have been about the subject at hand- a young man losing his life in defence of his nation (no matter what your politics or your stance on this, objectively speaking this is what he died for in his mind) and the tribute a pilot who had the responsibility of transporting his body back to his family paid to him.

One cannot be but moved by these sorts of things

@Joe Shearer sir, could you explain the nature of the military/army escort this body would have had throughout its travels from JK to his final resting place? I am familiar with how this works in the US Mil but not the Indian Mil and I can't seem to find much literature on it although I know the Indian Mil does employ such a system.
