Huawei may handle Airtel's 4G rollout in Delhi, Mumbai

This is totally pathetic. Unacceptable :hitwall:. Where is the promise to make India a global telecom manufacturer?? What about the preferential market access policy??? And what about the nation manufacturing policy and all the bullshit??

Indian companies are capable to produce 4g network equipment, but they are too small to mass manufacture them for 1.4 bill people. We need to let our companies grow for GOD sake India needs to becomes independent in these areas :hitwall:

If you like it or NOT, accept it or NOT.... India lags much behind in R&D and manufacturing sector, It cannot compare itself with China..... Make the private companies lead the manufacturing... The public sector companies did NOT help much!

Cricket? how many countries play that?
India has a billion people yet can't win a single gold medal at the Olympics. Sums up your entire civilisation.

It is not that Indians are not capable... But sports as a career is not that bright in India and as usual there are politics in every sports committee in India.... Sad but true!

When the IOC disqualified Indian Olympic committee these guys were celebrating for their recent election! Pathetic! These people must be executed in the first case!

LOL - hahahhahahaha - sure. The reason they will consider Huawei is because it is cheap - it is not as if Huawei has developed any ground breaking technology that we will have to rely on Chinese technology - hahahahaha - one thing to reverse engineer, quite another to actually develop and invent a product. The Chinese are simply incapable of doing that.
were you involved in this deal or what? how did you know it was because it is 'cheap'``? as if your third world hole can afford any ground breaking technology`lol

your inferior complexity and extreem jealousy makes you a very pitful indian```some of your countrymen agree on that too``:D

Christ - can't they ask a European or Japanese company to handle the rollouts? Why get substandard firms from China to do this? Cost cutting has its advantages but there is a limit to compromising on quality.

Japan asked Huawei built the world largest 4G network few times earlier``japanese knows way more about quality and standards than primitive indians, and this is for sure

http://micgadget.com/16242/chinese-to-build-4g-network-for-japan/

and so do the Norwegians

so how does an inferior complex and self-loathed indian have any say about Huawei's standards?

At some 150 million dollars, this is not a big deal by Huawei‘s standard。

There is no need for cheap talks from both sides。

Huawei will be the largest mobile infrastructure supplier in a couple of years and probably one of top 3 mobile device brands by volume before year 2015.

a lot of huffing n puffing on something that hasn't even happened yet. facepalm

I'm willing to bet that we won more gold medals at the 2012 Olympics ALONE than what India has won in its HISTORY at the Olympics. Someone check how many gold medals has India won in the history of the Olympics.

mate, you are over estimating those inferior people``in the hunderd years of Olympic history they won like 11 golds```not like half we done in 2012

An Indian lives in a democracy and enjoys right to free speech and thought - I know all of this is difficult for you to understand. LOL - your link for Japan shows ZTE-Huawei winning a contract - well of course with sweatshops and no labor laws - we can expect the Chinese guys to underbid everyone - and the Japanese love you guys working for them - it is cultural thing - they are used to it since Nanking.

mate, you are over estimating those inferior people``in the hunderd years of Olympic history they won like 11 golds```not like half we done in 2012

Awww - the Chinese back slapping each other to get over the fact that their achievements in real sports are zilch - hahahahhaha - how sweet.

We have world wide proven track records

Huawei Worldwide

correct and they have a lot more participations ( as seat warmers / cheerleaders most of the time)!

And Huawei is the same company which even the head of an African telecom operator charitably called "$hit" - you know when the Africans think you are hopeless, you are scraping the bottom of the bottom of the barrel.

You keep telling us Indians are cheaper than the Africans!

Indians obviously love the stuff that Africans think hopeless, and the stuff below the bottom of the barrel.

Blame on your own people, and stop barking at Huawei! Nobody forces Huawei stuff down your throat but yourself.

Hope Huawei gets paid for its efforts unlike in some other instances when dealing with some Indians in business...

At least you agree that Huawei is at the bottom of the barrel - well that is a start. And the wisecracks about business ethics from a Chinese are akin to Osama talking of Buddhism.

Because no one buys Chinese products for quality - it is common sense. What I am saying is - while others may think it is an inferiority complex - it is not a complex - it is a fact - Chinese products are inferior. :)

you can keep puffing in you cubicle. Huawei is making phenomenal profits

Of the two-thirds of Huawei’s total revenues coming from overseas, most of it came from Europe, the Middle East and Africa, which is the company’s biggest single area for sales (77.4 billion RMB), just ahead of China (73.6 billion). The Americas made up a much smaller chunk, bringing in 31.8 billion, which is just over $5 billion.

They can beg us for technology but we should not sell them anything.

Seems that you forgot easily....you nation also built its economy and export oriented capability based on EU and USA technology. if they wouldn't have come there, you would have still been working in rice fields, like N koreans....

you seem to forget your past so quickly and easily....

India is a dictatorship run by the ruling Gandhi regime. It's identical to North Korea. India has zero freedom (just ask Dalits) except freedom to crap in the open.
The British used Indians for slavery just like Americans used Africans for slavery. This is a fact. That's why India was under British rule for 300 years. The worst part about it was that Africans hated being servants to Americans whereas Indians didn't mind it. India remains to this day the only people that actually enjoyed being run by the white man. Everyone else fought for their freedom.....except India.

Indians and sports should never be used in the same sentence. India has been competing in the Olympics for many decades but China in 2012 alone won more gold than what India did in all its history. This is why no one pays attention to Indians. You can't win a single gold medal with 1.2 billion people. Don't you have shame?

At least you agree that Huawei is at the bottom of the barrel - well that is a start. And the wisecracks about business ethics from a Chinese are akin to Osama talking of Buddhism.

Chinese products are the most coveted products for Indians. That right there tells you alot.
