Nopes, that was shot down by kashmiri mujahids. :D

Can you guys ask @Windjammer why didn't PA and PAF attack India on western corridor in response to Indian invasion of east pakistan? The way this guy shows them brave, what was the reason of cowardice shown by PAF in 71?

They did.

Operation Chengiz Khan was the code name assigned to the preemptive strikes carried out by the Pakistani Air Force (PAF) on the forward airbases and radar installations of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on the evening of 3 December 1971, and marked the formal initiation of hostilities of the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. The operation targeted 11 of India's airfields and there were artillery strikes on Indian positions in Kashmir.

If I recall correctly, the strikes were at Pathankot, Amritsar, Ambala, Sirsa, Uttarlai,Agra & Srinagar.

That was on DAY ONE

When India realised about Stingers we came back with HIGH Altitude
GPS assisted bombing ; laser guided bombs ; chaffs and flares

The Other 98 Stingers that were fired went WASTE as IAF bombed out PA positions
with audacity and glee

Offcourse they did, but did their response met the need of hour or they didn't went all out?

Convince your self with all the BS which is obviously your forte,
But the fact remains that the poor Indian pilot crashed seeing the Ghost of PAF.... just as well he was over his own base or else we probably would have had to make room for another Gnat in the Museum.
I fail to understand why Indians are so butthurt I mean its only a cricket match that Pakistani team dared to win and that too against south Africa.

oh sorry wrong thread but the entire social media and news websites are infested with butt hurt Indians at pains to "put us back in our place".

the Indian logic for authenticity is simple.
if its not stamped by Bollywood style video production and doesn't have background music and charged up commentary then its ISI fabricated disinformation. see how Indian web force out of sheer patriotism jumped from one comment to another as the Indian coast guard fake encounter story evolved. in the end the sacked Indian official didnt even get a Biryani from his former employers he was so proud that he had saved from serving the "Pakistani terrorists".

@ on topic
this unique air encounter is one of a kind. a former RAF avatar was recounting some historical encounters and I shared this one with him. he knows PAF and had praise for it

Since we are talking of FEAR ; this is the best way to describe fear

There was no doubt in the minds of PAF Air Staff that the first cross-border attack (whether across LOC or the international border) would invite an immediate response from the IAF, possibly in the shape of a retaliatory strike against the home base of the intruding fighters, thus starting the first round. PAF’s intervention meant all-out war: this unmistakable conclusion was conveyed to the Prime Minister, Mr Nawaz Sharif, by the Air Chief in no equivocal terms.

PAF feared IAF and hence stayed out in Kargil

Aeronaut: Kargil Conflict and Pakistan Air Force

So true, the fear of IA and IAF have desisted PA and PAF from helping out their own men in need on many occasions.

2 HIT the Targets on day ONE

There after IAF changed its tactics and the other 98 stingers became BLANKS

@Irfan Baloch

I see that PAF is taking good care of the SABRE SLAYER in PAF museum

Do you know you are wasting your time?

They will forget about 98 and harp on 2. Just like they will forget about larger outcome of wars and harp on solicited incidents.

They wont discuss what kargil did to their reputation and what shame lies there in not even recognizing the martyrs for years.

They wont discuss what 71 did to them, why didn't their army and airforce went all out against scared IAF and IA?

Now what they will discuss and post -
Some pieces of crashed/hit indian planes?
or some abandoned tank?
or some gloating boasting hearsay stories about solicit incident.

While the slayed is well maintained, i always wonder what happened to the other Indian miracle which was warmly received by the PAF and quickly ditched in a field by another brave Indian pilot.

Gladly we were so afraid... otherwise we would have never won the war

problem with these pictures is that they contradict the stories of awesomeness being taught by Bollywood and its affiliate media to the Indian public.

I never see people gloating over some pictures of crash landed planes..

The tragedy is our Lollywood is not so advance, as much as it causes inflammatory rectum to our neighbors, we are forced to rely on authentic still images. Shame on lollywood.
