Except the first one, all of other others have pictures or police, regular army, Rangers mixed in with the SSG by Tmny. The first one is a TV documentary on the SSG. I think I had posted all three of the parts in the original SSG thread.

well I know for sure the SSG are good for:

Pakistan As with their Indian counterparts, personnel of Pakistan's SSG are airborne-qualified and probably air-assault-qualified. Elements of the SSG are known to be HALO-qualified, and it is likely that they are HAHO-qualified as well. Personnel of the SSG receive training at the following schools: airborne (Peshawar), mountain warfare (Abbottad), combat diver (Karachi), and desert warfare. The SSG trains and exercises with other SF from Great Britain, the United States, Turkey, and Jordan. As for languages, English is widely used in Pakistan, although it is not an official language. It is likely that the SSG possesses linguists fluent in certain western Indian dialects
Music: Pakistan The SSG is capable of carrying out the following missions: counter-terrorism, unconventional warfare, counter-insurgency, security for very important people and places, reconnaissance, raids, and riverine operations. The SSG has been accused by India of supporting and participating in incursions into India's portion of Kashmir. Such activities will continue until the political issues surrounding Kashmir are resolved. Another role for the SF of both countries would be long-range reconnaissance and possibly direct-action missions against the other country's ballistic missile forces and weapons-of-mass-destruction facilities. The most likely scenario would involve sets of small teams locating such missiles and facilities and reporting their precise coordinates to be used for a preemptive strike. If Pakistan or India develop or purchase smart munitions, another possible role for their SF will be to act as target designators.

Jo kutch likha hai bohut ghalat likha hai. Main yahan per kaafi arsay say post karta raha hoon or jazbaati ho kar nahi karta. Fauj ki aksariat peshawarana kamon may masroof rehti hai. Plots her kissi ko nahi miltay or jin ko miltay hain un ko fauj say chutee nahi miltee. Professional training, command waghaira sub saath saath chalta hai.

You gotta see them, to believe them

Well, the idea is pretty simple, Ask any Taliban about SSG and they will tell you about the SSG and believe me when I say this cause I have spoken to some of the Talibans during my duty in SWA. Even Taliban are S.hit scared of the SSG.
The group has carried out many successful operations. (AND PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE THEM LOW IF DID NOT LIKE ANY OF THEIR OPERATIONS)
As professionals our SSG has undergone many training missions with foreign special forces and proved better in endurance and agility.
When you ask "are they better than US and UK special forces" it sounds like as if you have really stayed with UK or US forces, otherwise your question actually speaks of Media IMPRESSION which they make because of Hollywood made movies called "MILITAINMENT" short for MILITARY ENTERTAINMENT. A field where military and hollywood come together. I dont need to say that they exaggerate every thing there.

One simple example that i want to present here is the story of "Black Hawk Down" this whole movie does not speak much about the heroic rescue effort by Pakistan Army in Somalia where Pak Army rescued "black barrets" of US also including US marines.
If you wanna know the truth then watch "Making of Black Hawk Down" where interviews of actual marines who participated in that failed mission of US mission in Somalia speak about Pakistani efforts.
SSG is no doubt a very professional force that does not fear sacrificing lives.....what else is there in this world to feel fear of.

you are right in a sense but please do not generalize. there are always different faces of i=one thing. at times Pakistan Army seems to be a force capable of defending Pakistan where as at other times it looks as if they are too "araam parast". there is no doubt that they are given plots and facilities but at the same time they perform their jobs at siachen and at various dangerous places.

I think you should change your flag to Indian flag it suits you more and of course nothing to do with emotions cause without your emotions you can only think negative.

Average Pakistani's are struggling for food because of the fact that average Pakistani's voted in a bunch of corrupt and useless politicians who are "fiddling whilst Rome burns" to use the old saying. The simple fact is that they messed up the economy (which was doing quite well under the army) Thus creating the climate you talk of.

THE FACTS SPEAK FOR THEMSELVES.

Go and take another look at the economic figures. I think you will find that they have dropped significantly. Maybe the army is not supposed to rule but they seem to do a better job then the corrupt politicians that exist in their place.

And the political uncertainty that the current bunch of of self serving cretins have created (plus their track record of corruption and criminality) has damaged investment and money coming into PAK. In fact I know of at least one major company here that has decided against sourcing goods from there due to the current govt (your precious "democrats" and that is being said with sarcasm)

The simple truth is that PAK needs a better education system before it needs democracy. Because frankly if they keep voting in the same corrupt idiots then they need to get smarter before they understand the concept of democracy and how it works. At the moment all that exists is a slightly advanced fuedal system.
