high profile cyberwarfare needs to be the owner/manufacturer of mobile core networks, that way you can spy without be spied.

that's the reason USA is afraid of Huawei.

They are not afraid of Chinese mobile phones, they are afraid of Chinese mobile networks equipment. Because if you control the network you can open channels to send information without notice the authorities of the country where you are.
