How could India and Pakistan improve their relationship?

Its not about beleif, I was pointing that trade is a non factor in improving relationships.

I believe otherwise. see we have to give them two signals.

1. We are well enough capable of defending ourselves.
2. We want trade, peace and collective growth.

A common man is not aware o the trade statistics and the news of surplus and deficits doesn't create any attention to him. Maybe its good for traders but never a factor of changing mindsets of the majority.

That's what the media is for na my friend? Sadly, our media fails our foreign policy big time.

It always acts exactly opposite to what the circumstances demand.

After terrorist attacks, it calls for war when it should call for peace.
After fixing scandals, it drums up sooooo much hype about our adversity's corrupt cricketeres never minding the fact that our own house is far from perfect.
and so on.

This type of behaviour can only be classified as puerile.

Let me tell you what the real problem is. It is not that such an over-zealous media doesn't exist in the developed world like US. It does, but then the people there are much more sensible to make out what is bullshit and what is not.

Let's accept it, our populace is, as of yet, not that mature (huge numbers of them are illiterate), they can't, to a reasonable degree, make out bullshit from sense and that makes their opinion very susceptible to be influenced. In such circumstances, it behooves the media to act responsibly.

Take the example of two newspapaers 'The Hindu' and 'Times of India'. One of them is sensible, the other, bullshit but what sells more?

Answer: Bullshit, because that's what the immature audience want's to see.

Do you have any idea as to how much the people are aware of International trade in our nation, let alone people of this forum.
