China's work in the various arenas of olympics is truly commendable ,they start early to win medals and it's fruitful for them.In peace time olympics medal tally can tell you a lot about what their people are made of.

It is not always about winning the medals. Indians are good at cricket and we won the world cup in our own way, not this brutal way.
What we are seeing here is a mall group out of thousands of other kids who are tortured and left out because they are not good enough.
Remember a hand full of will only fetch (may be) 30 odd gold medals and what about the other thousands of kids whose Childhood was ruined with out their will, This is not war this is life.

What this communist regime is doing is a propaganda for its dominance nothing more. Olympics is just a sporting event nothing more but for communist regimes because it has to show its firm grip over its governance, This will become a propaganda tool, They will show how the athletes who won the gold medals are enjoying with sports cars and luxury apartments and will continue their brutal training ways.
Where as democratic governments like US and India who care more about people's freedom and human rights will not take this route.

Kids are pushed by parents in India also. Yes, they are not pushed in sports but they are pushed academically to excel since they are in Grade 1. When Yuvraj Singh spoke of how tough his dad was on him - it did sound like child abuse too. Andre Agassi spoke of how he hated tennis because of how much his dad pushed him. He is an American. China has excelled in sport because it has worked hard. Yes, I don't agree with child abuse - but this is not a China specific problem.

There is very thin line between pushing the kids and training the 3 or 4 year olds to do this insane training programs. Show this kind of programs in US which had dominated the sports arena.
Compare with china. we don't need follow the Chinese example and appreciate these kind of brutalities.

am very sad right now.... i think we all know how china trains kids for olympic.... you shouldnt have to show us. it only makes mood sad.... i have seen a chinese lady had a boy age 5.... She couldnt pay the money she took from a army men.... He than told her that her kid will pay by gold medal. He snatched that boy really hard and kept dragging him and the lady kept screaming in tears trying to get her kid back but other army men thrown her away.... He thrown that kid in training camp.... in BBC they shown every videos of it. They even shown a chinese coach siting on 3 years old girls spine and punching her because she couldnt do walking by two hands.... He kicked on her spinal cord. i felt the pain.... this thread is a sad thread....
