How About Iranian Naval Hardware to Pakistan

wast of time they atleast should buy some old bangladeshi wooden attack crafts,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

i think pakistan should buy Iranian hardware with TOT and integrate home grown or Chinese technologies into that .....would be pretty feasible and deadly ..
imagine a modified( Pakistani) version of Iranian attack chopper ... it will save time and you wont have to reinvent wheel ....

Pakistan cannot but the Iranian Helicopters becuase they are the copies of Bell Helicopters (USA). Iran had started license production of the Bell helicopter during Shah's regime. After the US pulled out the program became indigenous. If Pakistan buys these helicopters form Iran it would be in direct contravention of the licensing agreement between Pakistan and Bell (USA). Therefore, buying anything from Iran in the near future is not on the table for consideration by the Pakistan's Military planners.

The torpedo boat seems alright.

Other than that...Pakistan can get/has gotten better naval hardware than this from China probably at a lower price.

...and how do the Pakistanis plan on paying for these Iranian toys and doing business with Iran that too in weaponry when Iran is a heavily sanctioned country?

that when even India could not pay for oil.

If by world class you mean third world class, then no Pakistan has no use for them. While I have to applaud Iranians for their self-reliance, they are making the best of a bad situation with sanctions all over. In fact, I think Pakistan has left them in the dust in the last 10 years with new weapon systems being introduced. Furthermore, nothing in Iranian inventory would come close to JF-17, F22P and Al-Khalid/MBT2000 being manufactured in Pakistan.

i think a small midget submarne has a great potential and armed with a couple of high quality torpedos could be as deadly as anyother submarine....if was for me...i would build small 2 manned subamarines armed with maximum 4 torpedos and in bulk and large numbers....like making 30,40 ultra small submarines instead of buying one large and spread them all around...imagine in the price of 4 submarines i would be having 100 plus submarines scattered all around...pain the a$$ for the enemy.....and powering them via sun could be an option.

Dnt we already have the italian midget submarine yousaf!!

i dident knew there were two manned subs too....yes these are what i am talking about in bulk....harder to detect....100 midget subs would mean 100 threats instead of 3,or 4 threats...bottom line is if there is a large submarine at point A then it is actually handicapped and can only launch torpedos from pont A.........midget submarines in bulk would mean numerous points and different torpedos initiating from these points...several threats instead of just 3,4 in same price.....

i like ur ingenuinity. Powering sub with sun.

Iran over the years has been develping its military and now has developed some world class naval hard ware
What do members think of Pakistan buying Iranian naval hardware

Mowj Class Frigate

Local copy of the Alvand class, aka the Saam class frigate or the 'Vosper Mk 5 type". The design (and probably many systems) date back to the late 1960's and pre-dates PN's ex-UK Type 21s.

It doesn't work that way. A proper submarine requires sophisticated sonar sensors, both active and passive for navigation, tracking and attack. You cannot fit those into a midget sub. In addition, a submarine's endurance, diving depth and speed are vital to its survival and capability, and midgets subs are simply jokes in these departments. I haven't even begun to mention weapons yet.

Midget subs are what you use when you don't have the technology or the financial resources to build a proper submarine force.

Midget subs. have been traditionally employed in relatively calmer seas like the mediterranean sea or enclosed Norwegian Fijords. Gulf woul be a good are to employ them as well. Arabian Sea, I am not so sure.

The one you would find in Karachi's Submarine Chowk(now in Maritime Museum) has had a history of running aground after being pushed ashore due to the strong tides in the Arabian Sea.
Anybody with even the slightest experience of the Arabian sea during the monsoon season.. would rather be on a large ship.

We better buy Chinese than Iranian which is basically cloned western goods. Iranians don't even understand basic concepts of metallurgy and alloy making so their goods ought to be worthless but a good showpiece for ahmedinejad and his gang.

Wow nice ships Iran have.

Is Iran navy stronger then Pakistan navy btw?
