it is nice to land on flat surface. is this really a practical move ? aviation fuel and other maintenance units have to be mobile to support these kind of drills in a real life scenario

Very much practical, what could be better in a war than dispersing your aircraft all over the country from where they could fly their missions and also recover. Check out an earlier exercise where the aircraft are refuelled before turning around.

300 meters i think. normally its 600m

at the minimum refuel the aircraft and it takes off again.

I am not much of an expert at aircraft maintenance.. how much of air force infrastructure can be made mobile
