I say it is easy for the US to do that so why not and all the more plausible as they wanted to avenge their drone.

The IRGC claims that US did not down a drone and presents a video showing US and other Ships going through straight of hormuz.

Now, before the hostilities of Iran downing a US drone, it was easy for any aircraft on the Iranian side of airspace to film the shipping below as it has to navigate in the middle of the sea near and around the area of the "pin-head" or near mussandam peninsula between Oman and Iran and extremely close to Iranian airspace l and border as shown below:

Everybody knows how easy it is to edit dates on any video made for any number of hours during anyother time, of any Naval assets/military Ships and used as propaganda later.

As for the video showing the US carrier Boxer with LMADIS anti drone vehicle on board, remember the Iranian Navy bell Helicopter that was escorted away by USNavy Heli?

So a heli could well have filmed the part with LMADIS vehicle on board the USS Boxer as it reportedly "came too close to US Ship" a fact everyone here has no quarrel with that an Iranian heli did venture close.

I only added another possibility in the equation that a civilian heli could possibly have come just as closer to USS Boxer too near Iranian border inside the straight of Hormuz if a hostile military one could.

Here is myself swallowing my pride as was asked to do by @Serpentine : The skids in the initial part of the video look like an older gen Iranian drone as claimed by other posters. There is more to it than that.

The point is; That does not prove the LMADIS vehicle on board USS Boxer video part was also made by a drone and not by any other heli or the bell212 that was escorded away by USNavy heli when it ventured too close to the USS Boxer where the LIMDAS was on board.

Therefore, two videos from different sources and times could easily be edited together for propaganda purpose as @Serpentine has predicted similar for the US, so can be assumed for Iran as well, truth is the first casulty of war.

Is U.S still busy editing the footage of shooting down that drone in Adobe After Effects? It took them so long. They should hire better video editors. Hell, even Pixar can make an animated version much better.

As for the threat of warning I got from @Serpentine for looking like derailing this thread and trolling, i'd like to challenge that.

This is a forum for discussions and having one POV is not going to lead any discussion ...various different POV will bring in a discussion and that is allowed and infact encouraged. As per forum rules name calling and insulting members should result in issuing warnings.

Since when does the U.S Navy allow civilian aircraft get so close to its ships?

Once a civilian passenger aircraft tried to pass by and got destroyed...and they will allow a military or civilian helicopter filming their position and presence from a very close range... totally sounds ridiculous to me..

-US president says it shoot an Iranian drone down.
-IRGC and foreign ministry deny such event.
-IRGC releases 1 hour long footage of events providing images of US LMADIS system onboard of USS Boxer.
now you are saying the footage is old and Iran edited the footage and IRGC is lying==> it was not old as US just unveiled the system and you can see it in the recorded evidence.
now you are saying Iranian navy (that operated bell-212) is lying and the footage is not from a drone but a helicopter as an the skid is visible==> you can search for older videos recorded by IRGC drones that some have skids, also there is a difference in the shape of this two.
