I do not understand what is the issue that you are highlighting. Both the words are interchangeable. Many people are comfortable to use East Turkestan as Xinjiang is so difficult to write or pronounce for non Chinese people.

All I said is keep it zipped when visiting China. Trade, education etc but don't bother dipping your wick in the Chinese pond. Is that so wrong. This is a Peoples Republic. A authoritarian, single party, communist athiest state that does not brook fcuking around, most of all religion. Bad that it maybe but this state has lifted 700 million Chinese out of poverty and is on the road to be a superpower. Compare Shanghai to our dirty, crime infested, lawless Karachi. Our entire geopolitical future rests on China or those Gangoos on our border will mulch your and my a*ss.

Our PM and his cabinet spent 4 days in China desperately trying get financial help to save Pakistan drowning in bankruptcy. As it is we have India, Afghanistan, USA etc baying for our blood. What you want Pakistan to do? Annoy the Chinese as well so as to get this guy's wench back.
