Has the Groundwork already been laid for a Turkic Corridor?

It is indeed a tough sell. That’s why it depends first and foremost on the Turks. It is also why Pakistan is trying to find common cause with all the players around the board. Nothing ventured nothing gained. If all parties benefit, it’s mutually beneficial, if not it’s back to business as usual, which isn’t working for anyone in the neighborhood.
Thanks for the honest answer. I hope it works out for everyone in the neighborhood

Seems like the war in Ukraine has made this corridor viable, and expected to grow.

A rail-line from Herat to Quetta; linking Pakistan-Afghanistan-Turkmenistan would be the shortest route to link with the port on the Caspian, and the one offer the easier terrain. This would not make the Peshawar-Uzbekistan route less important, but make the route less dependent on the poltics of Turkmenistan.

This route would also allow the Turkmenistanis to sell their oil via railcars via Pakistan, giving them an alternative to pipelines controlled by Russia.
