Hardest place to visit- Sentinel Island (India)

. .
Its our duty to protect 'em.

I am wondering if drones can be used to study their habits etc. :)

I believe we already know about their way of life ..... Don't need to peep at their business let them live d way they want ...... Gov must ensure habitat remains liveable to them external world activity not to be allowed ......

Except that they dont know what India is:enjoy:.....
Yup they don't and don't need to know as long as they are protected. Last month I visited Kanha National Park in Madhya Pradesh and it is the second largest tiger reserve in India. The reserve is well protected and the forest department has extended the core reserve area adding some more land to it. I heard the reserve is close to 2000sqkm. Number of strictly regulated safaris have also been reduced.

I was so glad to know that our government is doing it and this has shown well, the number of Tigers have increased by 30% as per the last count. The people who used to live in those areas have been provided education, lands in the buffer area and jobs as naturalist and Forrest officials that they do not want to move out from that place.

I hope that those guys are left alone.

They number in their hundreds now. Around 3 hundred to be precise. A similar tribe - the Jarawas are more exposed to human (I mean other human) contact. We were toured on a convoy. It is not banned. This tribe is another story though. Hope they are allowed to live as they please.

UAVs too would be shot down with arrows
o_O What did I just read? :D

This is SENTINEEEEEEELLLLLL!

adorable cat was actually a Tigerrrrr
Young Tigers are pretty harmless and avoid contact with humans. She is more afraid of the photographer than the photographer is of her. :) You could have tried it and stayed safe. But you would not be able to catch it.

I wonder whether we can call them Indian citizens.
They are more like aliens from a different planet.

On a lighter note, numerous Indians behave like aliens from another planet !!

This should make those in the Sentinel Is at par with Indians on the main land.

. . . .
I think a French filmaker was summoned by Indian court after making a movie about them not so long ago. Is that the same video you have posted @levina ?

Of course my cousin didnt want to take any risks. The mommy tigers always keep a track of what their cubs 're doing. Lol.

I really believe that we should keep a track of the activities on the sentinel island. Which island did you tour and y?
