A lot of people in India have a mongoloid component in their appearance. Even I have relatives in family who look Kazakh because of some mixing with Ladakhis. People from all over India can have this appearance.

Happy Republic Day to all Indian brothers. :)

A very strange thing which I never knew, that even India had invited Pakistani establishment twice before 65 war started the long list of wars(officially & open war). I think era between 1950 to early 65 must have been very good. What others have to say on this? If any person from that era is available here, can they describe it in their own words?

We will observe very interesting facts if we go through that list.

There have been many prominent figures who have been invited as chief guest in the Republic day parade.
The chief guest for the very first Republic day parade was President Sukarno from Indonesia.
President Tito has been invited twice.Queen Elizabeth II has graced us with her presence once,UK Prime Minister John Major in 1993.We have two different Presidents from the erstwhile USSR and Prime Minister Putin from Russia in recent times. We have two guests from Pakistan as well, once in 1955 and once in 1965,the same year in which we had a war with Pakistan.Representatives from France have featured in the list the most I think, four times.A significant fact to notice is,we never had a guest from US for republic day parade.

Also another observation,I see a pattern here.In the year 1965 we had our Chief guest from Pakistan and later we ended up being invaded by Pakistan.Again in February 1999,our Prime Minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee goes to Lahore,Pakistan for peace talks which was deemed as a success at that time only to be rudely awaken by yet another major infiltration bid which took the shape of Kargil war, just a few months later. How can we have trust on Pakistani leadership after this ?
