Hafeez saeed offers aid to Americans hit by superstorm

He met David Headlys and his wife :disagree:, David headly was involved in 26/11 she went and complained to the US Embassy in Islamabad but anyway believe what u want

Andddddddddd? In all this there is any evidence of criminal conduct? Is this how you intend to fight a court case against him? No wonder hes winning all the time. I don't believe - I follow the facts.

No wonder he is winning, Pakistan court doesn't have laws to charge him or any other terrorist where daily attacks happen and ISI has to take the other measures to take out these terrorists.

Its failure of law, not winning of Hafeez to be more precise.

But found not guilty in a court of law.

But still the designation stands.. Looks like UNSC does not believe in the findings of Pakistani courts

And given the following reports, no surprise that they don't

Low rate of terrorists

“What is happening at the moment, police although complete their investigation they don’t collect adequate evidence from court’s point of view. As a result, an accused easily manages to secure a favourable judgment,” said Mr Khan.

Acquittal of cases: Terror spread as culprits walked free – The Express Tribune
Critics say Pakistan’s low conviction rate of militants, even high-profile ones who have carried out major attacks, is one reason why extremism has spread in the country.
The frequency with which terrorists are acquitted by courts is considered one of the major failings of Pakistan’s judicial system.

A feature, published in The Express Tribune magazine on August 5, 2012, cited an official report that stated that between 1990 and 2009, out of 311 cases, 231 resulted in acquittals.
Most cases end in acquittals due to defects in the registration of cases, ie, the lodging of the FIR at the relevant police station, the report said.

Same court that freed many terror suspects in Pakistan and people here on PDF and other places lament about no terrorist hanged in last 10 years.
I maintained then and I maintain now, courts did the right thing. To PROVE a crime is not the job of the courts, its the prosecutions. India's prosecution help on the Hafiz Saeed case has been zero, rather they have done flip flops which were the ONLY reason why the court got angry at the Prosecution that you're wasting their time without getting any committment from India on the evidence.

UN is wrong ? Which to believe, UN or Pakistan Court ?
UN just said impending threat, we alleviated impending threat, if the UN has any issue, please say it. You are in the UNSC, you say it.

If we accept your decisio, then why people call Narendra Modi terrorist, hitler etc. etc., he is also found not guilty. And he isn't blamed terrorist by UN too.
I respect the Indian court there, too, I don't have much respect for the Indian prosecution.

Who knows what will happen, but as things stand the status quo would go on as Pakistan has very openly said we've implemented the UNSC resolution. What other member states do or think is not our concern.

IF India so wishes why doesn't it raise the matter, its a UNSC member for another month still. Perhaps India fears that if put to a vote again, Pakistan's position would be upheld.

Status quo can go on and that is fine from India's POV. Why would India make a move to review a case when she won it. But in the long term, it is not good for Hafiz or his organizations. If US feels he is a significant threat and makes a move similar to what it did for OBL, Pakistan can't go to any international courts.

That's fair, however, my point was on what would happen if Pakistan allows HS to try and travel to USA

Not needed.. The implicit situation where Pakistan seemingly is allowing a UNSC designated terrorist / terror outfit to flourish in Pakistan and be a part of mainstream politics, works well for India.

Actually the UNSC has not redeliberated on that matter. Pakistani state is indifferent to the outcome. Hafiz Saeed has moved the ICJ to make this binding on the member states... It will take time but ultimately ICJ will also just follow the facts like any other courts.

And... My reply was to a guy who asks why his assets in Pakistan are not frozen. Answer: Legal and public procedure says so.

Let me know when someone cares...

Well, hopefully they will, unlike Pakistani courts...

Anyway, till the re-deliberation happens, he is a designated terrorist by UNSC and no amount of wordsmitthing can change that..

Individuals or organizations can't move the ICJ. So who is going to move?

Okay lets speak facts, Number 1 is David Headley was involved on 26/11 that is certain he was charged and gave evidence in a US court. His wife who was with him in Pakistan met Hafeez saeed that we know, right now the NIA is trying to get access from Morocco where she lives now as she being married to one of those who took part on 26/11 and directly met the founder of LET, she would have alot of information right?

What did she do that was so criminal when she met HS?

Afterall what is the founder of LET doing in meeting with a person who took part on 26/11? is that a coincidece? im afriad in a court of law that is suspect
You are the one levying a charge you tell me. Suspicions don't make a conviction. All you need is reasonable doubt to get a not guilty verdict.

In Pakistani courts the imaginary gods cant stand as witnesses.

Individuals or organizations can't move the ICJ. So who is going to move?

He can move the Pakistani Supreme Court which can order the Pakistani state to do so.

He can also get any other state to fight on his behalf.

The founder of LET a known terror organisation met David headly who was involved in 26/11 but Pakistanis still think this is not suspect lol yes of course she has the right to live where she wants but she has evidence which can be used to help in the 26/11 case afterall she was married to one of those who took part on 26/11 and met Hafeez saeed

You should approach US for david headly. and ask why the US agent David headly "met" Hafiz Saeed in capacity of being US agent .

and why US should bother about your borrowed copied word 26/11 since its not 9/11

Well, hopefully they will, unlike Pakistani courts...

Anyway, till the re-deliberation happens, he is a designated terrorist by UNSC and no amount of wordsmitthing can change that..

Till then we're interpretting that our own way, if we're wrong, please redeliberate and tell us and we'll correct ourselves.

Asim - lets see when that happens. It is a 2 step process - Pakistan SC providing a verdict and Pakistan winning the case in UN SC. Until then he is a terrorist and his organizations(about 20 different names were spelt in the resolution including his current charity front) are terrorist organizations while anyone can claim he is innocent until proven guilty or a philanthropist. Until then there is no point for us to dwell further on this as we will be spinning our wheels.
