So, International airspace is monitored by the FIR, which has every right to control any aircraft, military or civilian.
Especially for Europe, and after the events of 9/11, every aircraft that enters in a FIR that is under the jurisdiction of Eurocontrol, must have filed a flight plan.
Turkey, as usual, does not recognize the limits of the FIR Athens, and violates it. In other words, we are not talking about the 6 or 10 nautical miles of the Greek national space, but about the entire Eastern Aegean, as well as the area south of Kastellorizo islands complex.


Regarding the violations of the Greek National Airspace by Turkish air force aircraft, this is a daily occurrence, especially on the small islands, which is why it is part of the sanctions from the USA.

Oh now you care about agreements? You completely disregard your own decisions about the Treaty of Lausanne,the Treaty of Paris,the Treaty of Montreaux and the UNCLOS. Which of course you haven't signed,but decided to use de facto in the Black Sea,while denying it in the Aegean and East Mediterannean.

So don't talk about "agreements". You disregard agreements and when you as a country and you personally,are cornered with facts and arguements,you just can't say anything else other than "Turkey will protect its interests".

UNCLOS is International Law and yet you don't abide by it. You lost your credibility when you settled the EEZ in the Black Sea according in a different manner than you're trying to settle it in the Aegean.

USA supports this exact map of the Greek EEZ and has stated it numerous times.
