Govt to buy helicopters with short-range air missile: PM

Ahhh....finally a good DEFENCE news to read after a long time in our section....!

Anyways, considering helicopters....the most obvious choice is China....are those WZ-10s still being produced? Clear my doubt if i am wrong....

Someone mentioned about Dhruv and LCH...personally i dont think we would buy them, no offence but i guess our generals wont prefer Indian equipments....still, there are chances as the government is pro-Indian....after all its the government that will be spending....

Apart from these, can anyone suggest what those helos could be....

Cheers!!!

Weaponized Dhruv would be cheap.

LCH is under development. Prototype was just released this year.

Best bet is to go for the Super Cobra.

That's the most pessimistic idea anyone can ever think of. Dude, we're not going for any of your $***** product. Thank you.
A simple 'no' could have been better. Does courtesy not come in your superiority complex or is it just because it is you?

You are failing to look at the point.. its not who makes what and who is in position to sell BD what. It is in context to what would Bangladesh like to defend itself with. It has 2 neighboring countries (namely India and Myanmar) and a sea in south. If Bangladesh needs security, it could be from the neighboring country and purchasing their equipment to defend itself against them is illogical. Hope you get me this time.
Canada buys stuff from USA. Does that seem absurd to you that 2 neighbours can live peacefully?

Courtesy dont work with most of the Indians here. If there's any better way to make you stop yakking on about your "mighty" products, enlighten me.

And you know better than your government

Certainly I don't. That's why they're the govt and I'm a citizen. And as a citizen, I believe my govt would take all the necessary steps for the betterment of our armed forces. And procuring Indian products certainly isn't the sign of betterment.Plus, our generals are pretty allergic to Indian products.
So, a big "NO" on that.

A govt has to think of not only the quality of products and the geopolitical situation of the country. It also has to keep in mind the sentiment of the population. BD population do not dislike big DADA attitude of India. Period.
