Govt can invoke Article 6 to try terror suspects instead of military courts: SC

Hi,
or should one consider, buying them enough time to regroup and keep the men in uniform engaged with them, so that men in white collar and men in black coats and legalize all the black stuff?

That is not the only thing. How many hasty executions by MCs would it take for Pakistan to lose its enhanced trading status with the EU or USA, or even worse?

.
Such a vibrant system can evolve only over decades, if only the Army does not uproot it every once so often. Does that seem familiar?
Hi,
Army does not seek to uproot anything, the very ineptness and incompetentence of spinless so called demorcatic leaders forces them to take charge, refer to post #96

The history of Pakistan clearly shows you to be wrong. The Army has uprooted democracy periodically on the basis of careful manipulations and machinations to suit itself.

The security situation has improved undoubtedly. Equally, the soft coup has undermined civilian authority once again, which is the worse tradeoff, the costs of which remain to be seen.
The soft coup is something that would be an extreme way of putting it. The government is running things like finance, policing, industrial policies, etc but security is something that has gone to the dogs. Weak leaders have weakened civilian offices leading to a stagnant, inept bureaucracy and to let them continue on this path is going to lead to civil war at best. Let the security improve, hope these idiots manage to make some electricity and dams, and then slowly we can move on to complete civilian rule.

Hi,
I didnt see US or EU backing up Pakistan or sending an extended form of help when the civilians were being massacred.

And its not as if US doesn't have guantanamo bay up its sleeve.

US will only look after its interests and, when those interests will align US will conveniently omit the executions too

Hi,
Thats just blind hatred for the army I can say, based on your all previous posts

Like I said before it had more then enough chances to take power easily. It did not which means something, like I said use the recent events as a template.

Yes, that must be recognized to its credit that it has not taken over power overtly this time, and has kept that threat in reserve for now.

No, it is just a frank statement based on the historical record, without any bias or hate.

Hi,
If with so called non-existent threat the current govt can do this. Wonder what they will do without any threat or swoard hanging on them

Sure, Pakistan will look at the pros and cons of its MC policy when its trading is affected. USA can resits the cons, can Pakistan?

May be it will work out as you say. May be it won't. It is still too early to tell.

Hi,
US resisting it or not doesn't answer the legitimacy of having asked such question.

As far as trade is concerned, we can clearly see US needs us at this hour as much as we need them, otherwise there our request for Cobra heli wouldn't have been approved along with guarantee in future that no unilateral block will be paased on future assistance to Pakistan

If so, then you're no different to me. Then our cause of argument is the effectiveness of democracy and why it hasn't worked for Pakistan.
Because the root of the civilian rule, the bureaucracy is corrupt. When every organisation run by the government is corrupt then democracy is a failed proposition and to be honest any system will fail. When taxes are not collected, laws are not upheld, police and court both are for sale, corruption is the norm, there is no health service, and every capable person wants to leave nothing can fix Pakistan. This is a steroid shot, the effects temporary, at times necessary, but the side effects will manifest eventually.

Sure, you can ask the question. My answer was equally legitimate.
