Govt Announces Incentives For Setting Up Private Shipping Lines in Pakistan

.
Shipping or any mode of transportation heavily depends upon the country. As of now many containers get stuck here due to low exports and thus resulting in empty or salt filled containers being moved out. Not a good sign for a line to start. Though if it focuses on crude and other such raw materials this can translate to be beneficial for us.

Good initiative, That will not only save in terms of import bill but will also provide us dollars in terms of export of services. I think this specific amendment is for Gawadar port.

Good initiative. Hopefully it works out.
We also need to do something about rail transport. It must be upgraded.

In the plan presented to Wapda there was a plan for a navigable canal up the length of the country called the “Grand Indus Canal”. It was part of the “Pakistan Flood Control System”. PPP and PML-N didn’t do anything with it, but PTI has been reminded of this plan, so let’s see what they will do.

Hopefully it's done.

Nope. They can still offer services to other countries, and earn a lot of foreign exchange, it isnt necessary for them to cater only to Pakistan's needs. Besides, nearly all of our imports are transported through foreign carriers, local carriers will save us a load of dollars, as well as providing jobs to hundreds of people directly, and maybe even causing a small shipyard or two to be setup for repairs and maintenance f their ships.

This is a very good initiative any way you look at it. One of the (very)few things PTI is doing right.

You have to understand how shipping lines work, they leverage their home port.

Hopefully it's done.
No.
It wont ...
Multilpe dams invovled will have huge impact on central punjab since populace has boomed. The right time was 1990s but we had motor way on our mind..ironically part of motorway will be submerged ..they would rather have some dams upstream
