There is no doubt in my mind that Qadri is being sponsored by GHQ that much was very obvious from the begining. For example during last elections Qadri gave the call of boycotting the elections (which was a spectatcular failure as the largest number of voters cameout to vote in Pakistan's history), that stunt was done to keep 'any' elected government from becoming too confident because its legitimacy could be challeneged any time. This strategy of-course failed because nation has been rejecting TuQ for 30 years now but Qadri is too small a fish to think that big - this move has GHQ written all over it. Interestingly PTI is trying to pull the same stunt, like Qadri it is desperately trying to de-legitimize the government. The same rhetoric of Qadri like 'its not a true democracy' 'revolution of change' is being used by top PTI leadership. This indicates that PTI (or atleast some of the powerful groups with PTI) have also been assured from powers that be that it can benefit from controlled chaos.
We should also be mindful that the target of all these thugs Qadri, IK and Pervaiz Ilahi is Lahore. The rallies, dharnas and agitations are all primarily focused on Punjab specifically Lahore as it is considered to be a stronghold of PMLN. Many GHQ sponsored analysts in media were very vocal after Musharraf's ouster that no party in Pakistan can gain simple majority in Parliament without coalition - this alone would make elected governments more dependent on GHQ forcing them to be more docile and sensetive to kahkis never ending demands. PMLN proved that wrong by gaining simple majority on its own and challenging the mighty Khakis so the current scenario IMHO can be played out in following manner:
1- Either use TuQ and IK to bring about enough chaos that another illegal Martial Law is imposed. Khakis will never trust TuQ or IK that much is clear. TuQ is too much of a middle classisa and fraudster for Khaki taste, IK is too much of a loose canon. If these fools would only look at the history, Khakis have specific allies and they NEVER trust a political party enough to even consider making some poitical leader a PM. They want controlled dummies like Shaukat Aziz and Junejo. A coup will of-course increase the long term threat of PMLN which is the primary target.
2- Cut PMLN down to size by supporting other political parties in Punjab like TuQ and PTI. PTI has become too much of a nuisance, PPP is a party Khakis will never trust. TuQ at best is a topi drama who will only be useful until the next coup/ until Govt bows down to some other disater like strategic depth doctrine. TuQ is trying to market himself like the next Khomeni and this is something which will threaten Kahakis (Khomeni being an excellent politician asked his followers to present flowers to Irani Army jawans who later refused to listen to their officers (aka Revo-lu-Shun!!!!
). TuQ is already asking the police to refuse the orders from top and stunts like these can make the 'controlled' chaos 'uncontrollable' at any given time, plus TuQ can play the same card on Army. The only party which Khakis can trust and which can put a dent in PMLN hold over Punjab is PMLQ and that has spectacularly failed post-Musharraf. For Punjab they need a coalition of political forces which can defeat PMLN (forces belonging to Punjab, PPP completed its five year tenure and keeping PMLN from completing their tenure will create far greater problems then 'controlled chaos' demands - job has to be done by Punjabi plitical forces)
Only way to understand Khaki politics is through their organizational aims. Sadly the long history of illegal coups in Pakistan have creatd a situation where continuation of democracy and strong political parties directly translate in reduction of khaki influence as an organization and vice versa. That is why in a country mired with illegal coups/ martial laws we have already started hearing the khaki philosphers muttering how mid-term elections are reflective of a 'mature' democracy. Eversince PPP and PMLN agreed to not involve Khakis any longer in their political battles khakis have been trying their best to create a coalton of rejects strong enough to challenge PPP/PMLN. There is no question that Qadri is a khaki tout but for some time now PTI is also suspiciaouly acting like one. Whether this is due to bonafide Khaki touts like SMQ in PTI or due to IK himself remains to be seen.
Democracy derailing a state is pure BS. Do you even realize what that means or are you just going for some catchy sounding phrases?
