K-9 Sentinel: Russia Hands Over Dobrynya the Puppy to French Police (VIDEO)
Dobrynya, a German Shepherd puppy who was presented by staffers from the Russian Interior Ministry to their French counterpart ministry, has arrived at Charles de Gaulle Airport in Paris, media reports said. As in France, Russia's Interior Ministry is responsible for policing, emergency management and national security.

The puppy is expected to take the place of a 7-year-old police dog named Diesel, who was killed by terrorists during a French police raid in Saint-Nazaire on November 18.

"Dobrynya's quarantine period wrapped up and all the vaccinations have been made. Although the puppy has yet to undergo in-service training, Dobrynya – a police dog by birth – has every chance of becoming a worthy substitute for Diesel," the Russian Interior Ministry said on its Facebook page.

This tweet said that "German Shepherd puppy Dobrynya, presented by the Russian Interior Ministry to French policemen, finally reached France."

Dobrynya was handed over to the French Interior Ministry during a ceremony that was took place at the French embassy in Moscow in early December.

German Shepherd K-9 Puppy Arrives in France, From Russia, With Love

I hope Russia and France can keep their differences aside and fight together against our common enemy Daesh & send them to hell.

@Vauban Avec l'amour de la Russie!
now i want a german shepard

You can surely have one. They are highly intelligent and active dogs. They are working dogs and have all the necessary characteristics- courageous, fearless, calm, cheerful, and obedient. They love working alongside humans, and need someone who can spend time with them. You also need to be a good and kind leader. It can be challenging, but not impossible. They are not as eager to please as retrievers, but are very smart and learn fast.

They have a very strong protection instinct, and guard families. This can sometimes become a problem when unchecked as they will be excessively wary of strangers. Make sure you socialize the puppy well to prevent bites later- this breed is notorious for its biting. :bunny:

@jamahir take a chill pill

no, meap, how can i take a chill pill in this thread in which most posts legitimize the brutal killings by dogs of humans and the almost extinct state of cats in india??

i like you but for your above statement i must say you are wrong. :)

you have said you have a younger sister and some brothers... what if the two struggling youngsters in the below photo from the first page were your sister and brother?? imagine their terror and pain, your brother struggling to save your sister from the certainty of painful and prolonged death at the jaws of the dog...

and look at the fabulous dog in my picture, "such dog, much fabulous, very glamorous, wow".

it is ugly and a cruel killing machine.

and here is real beauty, style, supreme intelligence and glamor... :enjoy:

On topic, I'm a simple hooman, I see puppies, I press like.

i am a simple hooman too, more simpler than most pdf members, hence my sincere, emotional and socialist responses to the topics in pdf.

which is why some years ago i would wait stealthily within my house compound, waiting for a dog to pass by and then i would press, not a like button, i would press the trigger of my air-rifle... the result was that the intersection on which my house sits would generally be clear of dogs and when a dog passed by it would look at my house first.

i did this for about three months and this was dangerous work but someone must always do what the fence-sitters won't do or are scared to do. :)

I guess people have their preferences, I like them both probably because I've quite frankly always wanted a pet, and I never got one, mostly because they were hard to maintain and I was an irresponsible child, the only contact with a dog was a Welsh Corgi, and me and my friends gave her a bath. So generally speaking I have a nice history with dogs. There is a difference between street dogs, and the likes of Corgis, or Pomeranians.
Like wise I love cats too, they're adorable have a cate:

But I would never harm either of them, if the're stray let the authorities take action, where I live there are literally no strays, and to keep a dog you have to take permission from your neighbors, but for cat you don't need to.
In the end, I love them both.
Wow. Much love, such affection, very wow.

.
P.S, this is a Corgi, it's like a cat, but it's a dog.

If you die in your bed your pet cat will eat you, your pet dog won't.

are you sure about the dog?? on page 2 i quoted this...
Indian abortion Doctors are feeding female foetuses to dogs to cover up rampant infanticide by parents who prefer boys, it has been revealed.

The sickening practice was exposed in the town of Beed, in Maharashtra - the state with the worst child sex ratio in the country.
those were dead foetuses... dogs have been known to kill live humans and eat them.

as for the cat, how would it matter?? when a person is alive, the cat gives the person the utmost loyalty and compassion and will stay with the person until the cat dies.

Yes,a dog might kill a human and consume it but not his owner.I'm talking about a dog not infested with rabis ofcourse.

I really don't understand why are you trolling this thread for 4 pages now with your cat nonsense.Cats are predatorial animals who see humans more as providers while dogs see us as members of the pack.It depends on how you educate your dog so he can see you as an Alpha or Beta member of his pack-regarldless of that,he is still more fond of you than a cat.Nor can a cat be as usefull to humanity like dogs are.See dogs used in wars, war on drugs, detecting criminals, protecting live stock, protecting humans, helping the blind, helping people with deadly diseases, helping finding earthquake victims. What are cats good for ? Rubbing themselves against my feet ? wow......

i had made a post about a indian case where a expensively-bought dog had beheaded its owner... i saw a alert when i logged-in today that the post was removed because of being too graphic and bloody... but you can still see it quoted in sarge's post on page 4... surely when you went through four pages you must have seen that quote, unless you chose to avoid commenting to it... so that person paid nine lakh rupees to have a dog behead him ( imagine his screams )... what a waste of life and money !!

and what do you want me to do, post kissy-kissy memes about dogs??

Cats are predatorial animals who see humans more as providers while dogs see us as members of the pack.

how can a baby human be a provider?? google for pictures of cats with human babies.

and what was "predatorial" about the female cat which saved the boy from the neighbor's dog in california?? this article was in my removed post but again you can see it quoted in sarge's post on page 4... to see the vid, google for the incident.

at the moment, you are ignorant about cats.

It depends on how you educate your dog so he can see you as an Alpha or Beta member of his pack-regarldless of that,he is still more fond of you than a cat.

dog is dog... its pack-hunter instincts and brutal killing instincts won't go away because of some "education", as the beheaded man in india found.

Nor can a cat be as usefull to humanity like dogs are.See dogs used in wars, war on drugs, detecting criminals, protecting live stock, protecting humans, helping the blind, helping people with deadly diseases, helping finding earthquake victims. What are cats good for ? Rubbing themselves against my feet ? wow......

do i sound like someone fond of wars?? if a dog is blown up, then good riddance,

and how does a dog help someone with deadly diseases??

as to dogs being used in landmine detection, drug detection and finding earthquake victims, it is nothing to do with any goodness of the dog's heart but more to do with the dog being trainable to sense certain biological and chemical situations... isn't there research going on for rats being used in drugs and landmine detection??

and where goes the "noble-ness" of dogs when they tear apart the face of a four-year-old boy?? and did you even focus on my post on page 1 about the german shepherd dog want to tear apart the girl??

as for "utility" of cats, they bring calm and harmony to human societies, which is why the greatest of humans admired them and which is a service that most humans are unable to do.

consider the political and social system in medieval europe when priests declared the mass killing of cats... the plague was then a deserved punishment for europe.

You're obviously not right in the head.....

says someone who hates socialism, islam and russia for no reason at all.

**in my previous post i meant "social system" and not "socialism system".**

perhaps your angry reaction is because some ancestor of yours was a cat-killing priest who died of "the black death". :)

you are right, my capitalist/reactionary person... only dogs can decide to tear apart one of the wisest and bravest leaders and philosophers in history - muammar gaddafi.

I was just fcuking with ya, got what I wanted, a pinch of immense butthurt, extracted my pound of flesh for all your anti K9 drivel and tripe. :agree:

you should stick to your 'evil west/capitalist/nato' narrative here, but all your dog hatred/phobia makes you come across as a complete lunatic, go see a shrink for it.

:o::smitten: So cute. But why a German Shepherd? Isn't there a Russian variety too, one with longer ears and a more muscular build? I think these dogs, developed from the German Shepherd, are known as East-European Shepherds:

The French police dog was a Malinois (Belgian Shepherd):

Which are outstanding working dogs, especially suited for military duties:
