I hope he retains his black mask. He seems heavy boned with medium coat. His slope seems at a good gradient though he will never be shown in the Dog shows.Some working GSD's have no slopes.. For his age, his paw size is jumbo. Tail length is good. Should raise ears fully in next 1-2 months.

Overall, Russians have given a great specimen to France.

If Dushyant Dave, the senior lawyer assisting Supreme Court as an amicus curiae in the case wherein the judges are deciding on steps to control the stray dog menace across the country, has his way, the canines on Delhi's streets are in big trouble. Dave feels that nearly four lakh stray dogs in the Capital are an eyesore and urgent measures were called for to remove them from the streets.

"In Delhi there are hundreds and thousands of stray dogs. Several persons are getting bitten every day. They must be removed. Recently there was also an incident where a little girl who was hiding at a place to escape from a dog which was chasing her, got raped," Dave submitted to a bench of Justice Dipak Misra and Justice Prafullah Chandra Pant.

New Delhi: Holding that there was a need to strike balance between empathy for stray dogs and safety of humans, the Supreme Court on Wednesday permitted municipal bodies to kill irretrievably ill and wounded stray dogs suffering from rabies, in accordance with the laws.

"We are disposed to think for the present that a balance between compassion to dogs and the lives of human beings, which is called a glorious gift of nature, may harmoniously co-exist," Justice Dipak Misra and Justice Shiva Kirti Singh said.

hopefully the supreme court will see the dangers of existence of dogs.

only five days ago was a case in bangalore where a street dog attacked a three-year-old girl and tore parts of her face... she was saved this time... i will make a thread on this soon.

Indian abortion Doctors are feeding female foetuses to dogs to cover up rampant infanticide by parents who prefer boys, it has been revealed.

The sickening practice was exposed in the town of Beed, in Maharashtra - the state with the worst child sex ratio in the country.

By keeping dogs, doctors can get rid of bodies without having to dispose of them through official channels.

It means that the true extent of illegal sex-selection abortion in the town - and elsewhere in India - is being hidden

The shocking revelation was made by Varsha Deshpande of Lek Ladki Abhiyan, a charity working against the practice.

She claimed her organisation had conducted a sting operation Dr Sudam Munde in 2010, in which he openly talked about how he was aborting female foetuses and feeding them to his five dogs.

It was then that the police had arrested him, but he was released soon and continued with his activities.

'A person even saw a foetus being fed to the animals,' Deshpande said.

Perhaps Shepard the is the best breed among all dogs and the reason can be because they have the best of all dog breeds but my personal favorit is Japanese Breed Akita @Nihonjin1051 any how idea how much does one Akita Inu pup costs ?

I guess they are the most good looking dogs (Closet to Wolves) along with huskies. If I could ever afford one I'd by Akita, Labrador and German Shepard.

Have you ever seen a cat kill a mouse? My cat plays with her prey, tortures it and lets it go and then hunts it down again 10 meters away. Several times I have taken mice from her and driven it to the end of the street to let go.

Cats also devastate native fauna and eco systems. They are too good at hunting and kill for sport.

You are wrong on few accounts.

Dog is a domesticated, tamed and can-be-trained animal.

Its nature is Protective and Loyal, not brutal or aggressive. Proof is how it treats its young and also how it protects its master and master's property and family.

If people in india cannot train dogs to be social and friendly around people, then Indians should not keep dogs. So dont defame the Dog for your incapabilities.

Street dogs is an Indian problem. it shows the failure of the system in India to create Pounds and Rescue shelters for dogs. It also shows that breeding is un-restricted meaning backyard breeding and street-breeding is abundant. If the same is happening in Russia, they should change the system also and curtail unrestricted breeding as the first step.

These dogs didnt come out on streets on their own. They are rejected by humans. so instead of spending life in pounds and waiting for adoption, they are thrown on the streets.

Change Indian system, stop blaming the dogs.
1. Train your dog
2. Socialize your dog
3. de-sex your dog to stop unwanted breeding
4. Send unwanted dogs to pounds and rescue so they dont multiply on streets.

Dogs and cats are natural enemies but with training and socialization they can be friends and live in the same house.

There could be many reasons why the dog attacked a girl. It could be protecting its territory. It could be feeling threatened by the girl advances towards it or in its area ; every animal gives a warning to human or animal not to come closer, most humans dont know what those warnings could be and still keep moving and get attacked by the animal.
it could have had a bad experience as a puppy with young kids.
It could be protecting its food
it could be part of a pack of stray dogs and protecting its pack.

did you read my previous posts on how dogs kill people in india?? you can just google for the dog menace in india... it is a internationally-known problem.

certainly, a solution for india can be take a few thousand dogs and put them on a island and charge the dog lovers for dog safaris... the rest of the dogs in india must be eradicated.

5 acre is huge man, certainly you need space to raise G.S in Pakistan we do have big houses but 5 acre is too big more like Farm houses in our country sides. Snakes poisonous ones ? You better get some mongoose they are the best known snake slayers on this planet. Our neighbors had a pet mongoose but it always use to be in the cage.
