MAKKAH: Chief of Army Staff General Raheel Sharif has performed Umrah in Saudi Arabia yesterday.

COAS General Raheel Sharif is on a two-day official visit to Saudi Arabia.

The army chief also met with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Crown Prince Muhammad bin Naif Abdulaziz Al Saud.

According to a release by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR), COAS General Raheel Sharif met with Saudi King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince Muhammad bin Naif Abdulaziz Al Saud and Defence Minister Mohammad bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.

Both the leaders agreed that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia share great history of cordial relations, deep spirit of brotherhood which is transforming into enduring partnership.

They acknowledged that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia are vital players in regional stability with significant responsibility towards Muslim Ummah, ISPR stated.

General Raheel Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s commitment to safety, protection of Harmain Ul Sharifain and territorial integrity of the Saudi Kingdom.

There is no point in doing so. May Allah bless the good General for this noble Umrah at taxpayer's expense. After all, he must have prayed for the whole nation.

First when you are in that area and leave without Umrah pretty bad thing and finally what I know is COAS did estimate the cost of Umra also which he himself paid. @Jango

Raheel Shareef total Umra is not going to cost more than 25000 still he pays for it unlike Nawaz who stays their for weeks and costs few million
