The agreement under Clinton would give them Gaza and WB yes, but would not be allowed any defence force, the land given to them would be under a phased 10-15 period, where they were at Israel's mercy. With no control over their ports or airspace and under the agreement that Israel be allowed to deploy its air force, its armed forces and navy any time it wished if it deemed there was a 'security risk'.

A rump state totally under Israeli mercy with no control of its air or borders. Yeah, great solution. We see this working very well in West Bank right now.

In 1993 the PLO not only recognised Israel, but also the invented concept of the "right to exist".

Which is not respected by Hamas.

During the 2000 Camp David talks, Barak 'offered' the Palestinians 73% of the occupied West Bank, cut into three non-contiguous segments, as well as annexing a strip along the whole of the West Bank's border with Jordan. Not to mention his 'offer' did not include the majority of even East Jerusalem. How generous.
