I am sure Hamas have planned this fight way ahead, weeks maybe, and have taken all the precautions and equipped themselves as required.

because Hamas is a much more matured militia group today compared to any time in its history- It is already able to confidently defeat Israel using artillery and rocket warfare- since ~ 2010-2015, Israel lost the ability to effectively suppress Gaza rocket fire- we saw that in 2009, 2019 and 2021 clashes btwn Israel and Hamas. Hamas learned ,adapted, imported, and VERY IMPORTANTLY accepted Iranian military help- that is a big game changer, for without Iranian help to Gaza, the PDFers who are in love with the myth of the abusive Israeli govt would be in heaven now and be right, but luckily, they are not today.

No one here approves of the disproportionate use of force by Hamas militants against civilians, except perhaps a few exceptional people.

Those who constantly address the issue from this point of view are not actually saying anything conscientious, but let's underline that: The persecution of Palestinians, arbitrary arrest, torture, raids on holy places, arbitrary killing of civilians, forced eviction from their homes, ill-treatment that violates human dignity, are such everyday events that even the TV channels of Muslim countries sometimes give 15 seconds of coverage, sometimes not at all. How many of you know what happened in Al-Aqsa just a week ago? So we take it for granted, and because we used to, we tend to think that it doesn't exist.

No, it exists and it is real, this is not to glorify any kind of violence, just think of the state of mind of a 20 year old young man who is trying to gather his courage there by saying takbir, whose life has been stolen and who has no future.

There is an action-reaction mechanism here. Israel is the one creating the action, and in fact they are so good at politics that they can also instrumentalize the reaction created by this effect for their own interests.
